tried it with little tails too just leading into juice holes

Looks like too much cotton to me. You've got quite a lot hanging over the air hole which will be blocking it. See my pic above. Try juicing up the wick and then guiding it in but it should curve around the air hole and then into the channels.

Just looking at your pic again, the coil looks quite low and close to the air hole too. Try moving it up a bit like mine.

I'm no expert but this is the best tank I'v ever had and I've had zero issues with flavour.

Firstly, it should be dual coiled. Why run it at quarter capacity and then complain about under performance?

Your wicking looks OK to me (your pic isn't showing @NavahoJoe ), but what cotton are you using? The specialist cottons will give better wicking and flavour.

I've gone a bit crazy with mine, dual Juggernauts coming in at 0.1, and it's the best RTA I've used. I hate to say it, but it beats the K4.

I've never had a griffin but on an old kanger tank I had, i had twisted 26g in and it was getting so hot it was just burning straight through the wick

Could be a hotspot on the coil?

I normally build contact coils on my griffin rather than spaced and I spend a while fixing all the hot spots before wicking otherwise it's dry hits for days.

Don't know if that applies to spaces coils though.

This is why I go on so much about the importance of good cotton. When my coils are ready for dry burning or replacing, I find the cotton is just slightly stained and still in the condition it was in at the start.

It's down to the cotton and the wicking. When my Griffin arrived, I followed the advice given on here and haven't had a single issue, and that's with Juggernauts, which are not spaced, running a 0.1 setup at 80 watts with 70vg.

If you're using cheap cotton or leaving the tails too long you're going to have problems.

right cheers for all the replies guys.. taken from various tips from post above ive now made a better coil 3mm 5 wraps and getting 0.7 ohm and vaping at 22 wats using 26 gauge normal wire and wicking ok has no dry hits yet, lifted coil a bit, touch less cotton
so thanks a lot,
as for post that mentioned why only using one coil well im used to kanger subtank mini with only one coil so thought id just try with one coil as it's got the plug to be made with one coil, may invest in some clapton wire to try some of them so if anyone can give advice on clapton coils on this tank id appreciate it, gauge and diameter of coil,

would using dual coil produce more flavour or just more cloud?
now im getting this sussed im liking it so thanks again.

my only problem now is when im led down relaxing warching a film this beast keeps setting me blasted smoke detector of and have to jump up quick and fan the bloody thing

:D This has been my biggest problem with the griffin, and my smoke alarms are mains wired!

I've now got one room in the house where I've taken the bloody thing out, just so I can use it.

Right i think im getting to grips with this now just couple of questions
Im only using one coil on it at min and am finding im getting a bit of juice in the tube.
Like if i hold the device vertical in hand abd and flick it 45 degrees juice flies out then its ok for a bit then it does it again. Is this normal?
Im using 26 gauge twisted at min wrapped 5 times on 3mm giving me. 0.5 at 24 watt

I want to. Start building some claptons as they supposed to give good flavour
What size clapton wire should i get as loking to build a single clapton then move onto two claptons.
Using a sigelei 70 watt at min but thinking of getting rx200 this week for that extra battery?
