Am I getting the best out of my Vivi Nova?

26 days ago, I gave up the evil weed and bought a Riva 1100 kit and embarked on an odyssey of juice discovery.........After initially using the clearomiser that came with the kit and finding it a bugger to clean, I pretty quickly swapped over to the Vision Ego V3 Rebuildable, which I found much better. This morning, two things happened. Firstly, I lost one of the Riva batteries, complete with V3 clearomiser. Can't find it anywhere and I suspect it got lost when I got out of the car so i'm not holding out too much hope of it resurfacing. I'd gotten used to having two vapes on the go/having a spare.

The second thing was the arrival of the Vivi Nova i'd ordered. I filled it with some Mountain Oaks Caramela and was immediately struck by the difference in the vape experience between that and the Vision Ego V3. The throat hit is better, it produces more smoke and it even tastes better, so although I know it's early days, it looks like i'm going to much prefer using the Vivi. So.....(at last) my question is this.

If I buy a new Riva battery (£13.99) and carry on as I am, would I be getting the best out of the Vivi or would a mod type thingy improve the experience even more? Also, the Vivi does look a bit silly stuck on the Riva battery, but mainly i'm wondering if I shouldn't suck on the iron tit and cough up the extra now seeing as i'm going to be spending some money anyway, or pay the £13.99 and possibly end up upgrading eventually at some point?

Also, if you've a recommendation or two as to which mod, i'd be grateful.

Cheers fellow vapers! Your thoughts will be appreciated.......

Personally, as much as I love the eGo style batteries they don't pump out enough power for me.
So, I would either get an eGo twist style battery, or do what I did and buy a Vamo :)

You don't necessarily need to go down the route of a more expensive mod type battery if you'd prefer to remain within a set budget. The Vivi Nova's are a great bit of kit and you can choose different heads with a higher or lower resistance (ohms) to enable the Vivi Nova's to operate optimally if you are using different batteries etc.

You can get some very good variable volt (VV) Vision 1100mAh Spinners for example, for under £20. Obviously they're not quite as bulky as some mods, but they are quite long. I'm at home most of the time, so personally I chose a larger mod style battery (an Innokin itaste MVP), but I still keep a couple of CE5's handy on some 650mAh batteries for when I am out and about though. I'm also getting a Vamo V2 soon as well, which again is ideal for home use, but many others who have one take theirs with them everywhere.

It really does come down to how you use your kit and what you get on with the best, sometimes that will come down to a little trial and error. You can also get adapters / plinths / skirts to screw onto the top of your Ego style batteries that will make your Vivi Nova's look a little better on top of the thinner batteries too if you're not quite ready to cough up for a more expensive mod style battery.

Enjoy :).

Hi,

I've got a vamo for indoors, but use my Ego's when I'm out and about as they fit neatly in a pocket. The vape isn't the same, but I prefer not having a sonic screwdriver in my handbag!!! I'm very happy with the vamo, but it is my first mod so I've nothing to compare it too. I chose it due the high number of recomendations on here.

It's great to have so much variety and choice, but it is so confusing and it makes choosing so difficult!!!!

Well done on giving up the stinky fags, hope you're begining to see the benefits in your health.

+1 to the vamo .i take mine everywhere with me in 18350 mode. battery lasts a good 10 /12 hours .i consider myself a moderate vapor doing about 3/5 ml a day

I was going to get 18350 battery's for my vamo but was told that they only last 2 hours so I got some Panasonic 18650's which last me 2 days.

whoever told you 18350`s only last 2 hours must have got some pisspoor batteries ..i`m still using the cheapo`s that came with the kit from zainy .been performing fine for me i usually recharge once they show 3.5 volts i .no fancy intellicharger either .same cheapo that zainy supplied ..i been researching upgrade batteries but wont be spending money needlessly .the set up is working fine for me at the moment .i`ve only had it 5 or 6 weeks tho .so time will tell
