ok i know i know im the boring old bastard here with the facts and figures.. anyway. here goes. dog weas 7 week old staffie. average weight for said puppy is 5kg or 11lbs.
lethal does for dogs of nictotine is 4mg per pound of bodyweight. meaning the dog would have had to ingest 44mg of nic.
add to that the relatively poor abosrption of nic to the stomach plus the dog would most likely if swallowed that amount vomited it would have had to have been left several hours untreated to reach such a state to cause fatality.
now according to the article the dog bit through the bottle and had "some juice on its teeth ( a small amount). so not sure how that equates to a lethal dose.
as for the newspaper its part of the the THIS IS chain that covers around 40 local newspapers across the UK

ok boring facts over.. now who has my bacon sarnie?
