Animal fatalities

6 weeks of vapping pure nicotine with no ill effects, then the dog gets a smear on a tooth and dies? Lies I say.

It's very sad but who leaves bottles of e-liquid laying around all my kit not just e-liquid is kept in plastic storage boxes up out of reach of everyone not just kids. Today I got 3 different orders of e-liquid and all came with a care notice.

@Phantom Diablo it was shared through a friend on FB, i have commented about it, and there are others who have replied, and will be replying, maybe it did happen, but maybe it HAS been posted as a scare tactic.
Tinfoil hats to the front!

thats fair enough but what i mean is currently its localised and not coming up on google.. but the POTV post is. so anyone searching to try and dig up negative crap about ecigs may not find the fb post BUT will find it through here because of how high potv ranks.. so i just think we need to consider the effects of what we post on here in terms of negative articles that are out there we might inadvertantly be spreading the word which we dont want to be doing.

the article itself is full of fail too. vapping/smoking and pure nic.. plus anyone whos stupid enough to leave a bottle of ANY toxic liquid lying around be it nic, bleach, or a dozen other products found around the house are just idiots. doesnt even have to be chemicals to kill an animal, my brothers dog ate a load of grapes.. emergency surgery a £1400 vet bill and 6 weeks later dog finally fully recovered. Human chocolate can also kill a pet and many other human consumption products.
i highly doubt the above story being true either as only someone experienced in vaping would have bottles of nic base and certainly if it was a normal liquid the animal if it did drink some would like most cats and dogs be very quickly throwing up.

So let them come! :P

Then maybe they will learn something. PUT YOUR NIC JUICE OUT OF REACH OF KIDS AND PETS... with a big healthy DUH for added affect.

I personally dont feel we should hide the "alleged" bad things, we need to educate.

And ANY proper vendor has nicotine warnings on their sites and bottles. She should have read it and if it wasn't there, she shouldnt have bought it.

An entire industry is NOT responsible for one persons mistake, but we should be responsible to make sure the public is educated.

How can you compare your tolerances as a full grown human being to a 14 week old puppy? Sorry mate but that's a daft thing to say. As I said, it doesn't matter if this *actual* story is true or not, we know the stuff's toxic, so why even take the risk?

@KulrMeStoopid pretty irresponsible reply from a mod think you need to rethink your post and edit cos you sound like a redneck

Absolutely no irresponsibility here fella! If stating the truth is irresponsible, then perhaps its irresponsible to advise you that the Tooth Fairy/Easter Rabbit or Father Xmas doesnt really exist.

The article quoted says that the person was vaping pure nicotine, 1000 mg/ml juice, that is what it says. 6 weeks on pure nic to the human and no ill effects? That is my basis for calling it lies.

I don't know about the throwing up bit but you're right that a whole host of stuff can be toxic to animals. Onions are toxic to both cats and dogs and even a few specks of lily pollen can kill a cat.

Ahh I see what you mean. Sorry, grabbed the wrong end of the stick there.
