Hi,

New vaper here finding it quite difficult to sift through the minefield of products and hope that some of you more experienced folks can help.

I started with a disposable, found it did the job ok and, with my friend Google, discovered the scale of vaping and very quickly moved on to "the next level" and bought some eliquids and an eGo w like this...

I'm quite happy with it for the moment but to I'm confused about the clearomizer and the apparent lack of places to buy them. Or that they might be named a cartomizer sometimes. Or what type they are (F1 etc), or whether other types will fit my eGo W etc. Here's a link to the type...

Anyway, I'm also catching the bug big time and wondering what's "the next level again", and therein lies my main confusion. It seems there's a plethera of choice regarding tanks, atomisers, dual coil tanks, rebuilding wicks & coils, low resistance heads, variable voltage heads etc etc. It seems most of them are fundamentally the same ie there's a battery, a liquid container, a wick and a burner - but what type to choose and which manufacturer etc.

I quite like pottering about with things so I'm keen to get something that I can play about with as necessary, maintain fairly easily, run cheaply, and which holds a decent amount of juice. I wouldn't mind remaking wicks etc if it's the way to go.

Sorry for the long post but hopefully someone will already have that t-shirt and can pass on their knowledge.

Thanks in anticipation.

Alan

ps if I'm breaking the rules posting links to the products please remove them.

I am pretty sure the battery you have will take CE4, CE5, normal "Ego Style" cartomisers and 510 regular cartomisers. Youre next step up would be into the world of variable voltage and probably rebuildables :)
:welcome1: to the Planet too :)

Alan check our wiki page this will help you with the choice and also look at our vendor section or Marketplace to provide the supply.

If you have an ego battery you will be fine as most items are designed to fit the ego

Welcome to the planet Alan, I was in the same boat as you last week and went down the Vamo route. Variable voltage and wattage so you can tailor the taste and throat hit to your liking, I just have a Vivi Nova on top of it but its made a big difference. I'm definitely getting more bang for the buck from my liquids

Before you make a decision why not run it past people on here, there are some very experienced vapers and it is not all about the shiniest and most expensive here. You will get great advice for what you need on your next step in this wondorous vaping world.

Welcome to POTV btw :D

Thanks for the replies guys. I think I'll spend a bit of time figuring out rebuildables.

That's a bit of a leap if you're starting off and a nice 'road in' might be to buy a Vamo (or similar) and a Vivi Nova. I am recommending the Vivi Nova because it's a really good bit of low-cost kit and also has the following options.

a) You can use it until the performance dies away or the coil pops and just lob it away (they are pretty long lived)
b) When the performance starts to die, you can buy, cheaply, a ready-built replacement coil & wick unit and screw that in
c) When the performance dies - you could recoil and rewick the unit yourself
d) You could do b & c.

The above would maybe give you an idea if you want to rebuild (or can be bothered) or can acquire the skills etc etc with minimal risk and aggravation. Just a thought and, the Vivi Novas are beltingly good kit and great VFM.
