Can vaping with 0% nicotine actually be good for you?

It would be great to be free of smoking AND vaping 100%......!!! If I could I would tomorrow. Today!!

When I no longer feel the need for the hand to mouth actions I grew accustomed too over 22 years of smoking, I will probably give it up too. But for now and the next 3 - 4 yrs probably not !

I swear I would take it up if I thought it would stop me twiddling my hair! Thanks so much to the posters for their information. I really appreciate this info and also the point that vaping is a serious part of a solution to smoking, not something to p!ssed about with by idiots (ie me).

I'm sure I read somewhere before about PG having anti-septic properties or something or other, I've not looked the information up to back it up though so don't hold me to it! However, I've noticed since I've completely quit the cigs I barely even get a cold anymore, even sitting in a cramped office for 8 hours a day with 3 colleagues who have man flu the worst I got was a sniffly nose and sore throat that cleared up with in 24 hours, could be some correlation to the PG if it does have said properties? I don't know.

It does :) and that is what Bungle was talking about earlier. We don't seem to get as sick as often, but were also not smoking anymore which means we wont get sick as often too :)

and yes Vaping is better for you than smoking, is it better than nothing at all? That is an unknown.

I used to smoke, I gave up first when I was 14, second time at 24, and that was over 20 years ago.
Last year I started working with a friend of mine who had taken up vaping and decided to make it into a job/hobby, and that's when I started vaping, first of all just to get a feel for the equipment we were selling, and so I could give honest opinions on the flavours. I have to be honest, I struggled with anything over 6mg, but didn't mind vaping 6mg as I am aware of the effect of dopamine release that nicotine has on the brain (vaping makes you feel good - fact), however I didn't need the nicotine, it was just extra. Thus I started mixing my own eliquids in zero nic, and as I have a sweet tooth, I started mixing sweet flavours.
I'm still vaping now, almost predominantly zero nic, my two current favourites are Vanilla Custard and a blackcurrant menthol blend. The bonus in all this is that I now vape when I fancy something sweet (rather than when feeling the need for a cig, which passed years ago), and as such I hardly ever snack, so I've lost a stone and a half in the past 6 months.
For me, vaping has definitely had a positive effect on my health, my weight loss has diminished my high blood pressure so I no longer have to take the pills my doctor prescribed.
Obviously everybody's experience will differ, but for me it's all good

The way I see it is that If you don't feel the need to get some nicotine, you might as well stop vaping too unless you really enjoy it of course. I wouldn't vape 0% to be honest or to be more precise, I would try to stop vaping.
