CE5 Burning Taste

Hello,

I'm a new vaper and have bought two Vision CE5's from Safercigs.
I attached them to my 1300 batteries from E-cig and am getting a burning taste from both of them.
The E-Liquids I've been trying are from Vapeinc and called Diamond Mist, the flavours are Banana, Cherry, Menthol, and Mint.
My previous CE5's that came with the batteries from E-cig worked with these flavours wonderfully, as does the CE5 starter kit I bought from Vapeinc.

Could my two Safercig CE5's not work right with these batteries, is that why I'm getting a burning taste.
The wicks on these CE5's seem shorter than my previous CE5's wicks.
I know Safercigs have a good reputation so I would assume the problem is on my end rather than theirs most lightly.
I should note however that on one of these burning CE5's the inside parts dont sit straight inside the clear tube, and carnt be adjusted to sit straight, but I dont think this is the problem since there's absolutely no leaking.

My new user question is :- Can I do something to stop the Burning Taste ?

Thanks,
Alt Lexington.

If the wicks are shorter, you need to make sure your doing the "CE Tilt" often. Meaning hold your ecig at a slightly upwards angle (so the mouth piece is lower than the battery end) when you vape, this ensures the juice is getting to the coil.

Now some of these CE's are rebuildable, meaning you can change the heads out, those are what you have yeah?

Then they will have a sillicone cap over where the coil is to help stop too much liquid getting inside the centre air hole.

What you should do is clean the CE's out, let them air dry (or give them a couple pulses after a rinse) then pop the silicone cap off and drip 1 or 2 drops directly on the coil. Put the silicone top back on and put everything back together. Look closely, is the silicone cap compressing the wicks so much that it interferes with the wicking process?

If so, all you have to do is clip away a teeny tiny amount of the silicone where the wicks are.

This should stop that from happening. Also on a side note, some coils are just fidgety and might need a little bit of a gentle push with tooth pick to stop them from overheating where the wick might not be touching the coil.

Hope that helps!

And if it doesnt, shoot Safercigs an email via his site, he's quick to get back to customers and checks here often too!

KulrMeStoopid,

Thank you for a very clear and easy to understand reply.
I am using the replaceable head kind with short wick so I will tilt when vaping as you advise.
I will try what you surgest about the cap aswell, it sounds right to me when I look into my CE5's at the silicone cap, the cap does seem to be touching the wicks, so I will give it a very careful and slight trim.
As for dripping a little juice onto the coil, I will try that if the above doesnt work.

Thank you again.

Another quick tip. If it is the short wickes, that are the problem you can get long wick replacement heads.
Or recoil yourself with long wickes.

I may end up buying the replacement longer wicked heads next time because they worked for me last time from E-Cig.
Another CE5 that worked well for me was a wickless one from the Vapeinc starter kit, though its not really cleanable, I'll just have to replace it from time to time.
