Review Cellucotton (Rayon)

Pm your address, ill post some cellucotton in the morning. I only use it in the kayfun Personaly, its difficult to choke the coil wick makes it ideal for the kf

Thanks, I'm just being impatient ;)

If the bog standard wool from the supermarket isn't going to kill me I'll just get some of that for now, save you going to any bother, thanks though.

I've got to go to the PO in the morning anyway to post a kayfun. A length of cellucotton is only a stamp ffs:D

Rayon is bloody awful stuff, like cotton crossed with wire wool. Use normal cotton balls, unwind so flat and tear a strip off or you could of course wait till some more muji appears.

Completely wrong Danny, though I have noticed there are different grades of it. The one I have is miles better than anything, Muji doesn't even come close, and I have done extensive tests using a number of tanks and different juices. It wicks better, holds the juice better and the flavour is miles better - but it could just be me.

It feels synthetic so that's probably what puts people off, but once it's soaked it looks and feels like Muji.

The one I have had 44040 on the box.

Quick follow up on this, I tried some cosmetic cotton wool pads and it's a whole world of wrong. Can't put my finger on it but it's just not right. Hopefully royal mail get their act together and I might have a rayon sampler arriving tomorrow! ;)

Can't be worse than these cotton pads, maybe I've been spoiled using MUJI since day one :)

I've been using rayon for over six months now with no ill effects. It doesn't give me amazingly better flavour over cotton, but it is far more durable. It was cheap, as are cotton balls - so I would advise a new user to get both.
Nose bleeds? I'm no Dr. House, but I would put it down to coincidence. Or Lupus. Somebody always suggests Lupus.

Lol, Jugg1es was kind enough to send me a trial to tide me over until I can order some tomorrow.

I gotta say, it's easy to work with. At first I heard "more is more" given that it doesn't swell but I must have gone overboard. I've found a nice balance now and I'm pretty happy with things. I'm not sure if there's a muting of flavours but it does seem to show different 'notes'. Cotton is sweet like a sugar train but this rayon is clean and business like (maybe I've been watching too much riptrippers!). Now that I've found the balance on the amount to use I'm finding I can get back down to lower watts to find the flavour which implies it's doing a better job wicking.

I have moderate concerns about the processing that happens to the material but overall it's been interesting seeing how wicking material can affect flavour and vape given that I've only used MUJI from day one.

It does stay cleaner and you can see it's wetter than cotton would be, overall I like it but there's a niggling concern at the back of my mind. I'll have to investigate more on it's creation and processing.
