Ceramic Coils Help Please?

So because a filter test showed no particulate matter transfered after a machine took 25 puffs on a single ceramic coil it means ceramic coils are safe?

Wow.
Tubby engineer did some testing back when the ceramic kanger, obs and atom vapes one's hit the market. I do remember they started to break down at the end of life.
he was not impressed with the results and as I said I found them to be disappointing in use compared to the standard cotton versions.

There's the potential for damage if you drop one as well.

And the way they may (or may not) deal with dry hits if (when) you don't notice the tank running dry.

I remember you mentioning that before. I stopped using ceramic coils after tapping one on a table very gently caused small salt like shards to fall out.

They've improved immeasurably and certainly could do with some up to date testing as they're becoming common place due to the way they keep stable for the tech on modern mods that avoids dry hits.
I still prefer cotton myself. I'm happy to make my own mind up if a coil is drying out.

I think the key is when they're used in conjunction with a mod with the right tech then the risk is minimal at most but the issue is if you pick up some ccell style coils and use them on a mod that just delivers pure power then there's definitely a chance of the ceramic breaking down and then the dust is available for inhalation.

My last post wasn't 100% accurate as there is one exception. I very occasionally use the Voopoo 1.2 ceramic coil at very low mtl wattage. But not before I had dismantled a few to satisfy myself that they were solid and not shedding ceramic dust. The ceramic is miniscule and I would never continue to use one if I dropped it and I never clean and reuse them.

I agree. Can't beat cotton for flavour.

Yeah, ok.

Let's all download an unverified file from a random file sharing site...

This is what kickstarted it all, leaving a very bad taste in our mouths and there is a correlation with ceramic water filters which suffers by the same disputes long prior to this.
