Coil builds for regulated squonk

Waiting on my regulated squonker and some new attys arriving and have been reading online that a lot of people do not rate dual coil builds on the regulated squonkers.. Which got me thinking my current dual set up of 7 wraps 3mm ID of 26 nichrome im using on my mech may not be suitable. What are you using on regulated devices? Interested in testing various reaistance builds - not looking for anything in particular, but wouldnt mind getting some wire etc so im ready to go!

My first single was going to be 24 gauge kanthal 3mm ID around 0.8ohm - vaping at ~40w

Would also consider some "pre made" off the shelf types too if anyone has positive feedback on any!

Sorta depends on what device you're going to be using.
What will be tasty and fun on a dual cell mod won't always give you good battery life on a single cell. As we are discovering with herselfs new single cell kit.

If ever in doubt, 0.4 or 0.45 mm kanthal 6/7 wraps, 3mm inner should be good to go.

Cheers, its a single - i ordered a kennedy trickster, A velocity v2 and a hadaly to go with it.. The latter 2 i would use on my mech too.

I'm lazy I build everything single coil based on 3mm i.d. with 26 gauge/0.4 mm kanthal and 5 wraps or more. I use some thin cotton lace I got a couple of years ago for my wicks, two strands are just right in a 3mm coil. The only variables are the atomiser, and the leg lengths... Currently I have eight different atomisers running like that, from a KFL to an Origen Tiny Tank clone...

Got a trickster on one dripbox and a Hadaly on the other, clones of course.
Whoever reckons dual coil builds in a squonker don't work are fools, regulated or mech. It's a dripper for fraks sake, just has a fun feeding system.

Hadaly is lovely with just a single coil, make it a large inner 3 or 3.5mm to fill the well - watch a review or two to see why.
The Kennedy will work better on a regulated thingy, big airy bastard so it is. And it's 24mm, so it look a bit daft on my Dripbox, but hey ho.

I've got my tsunami dual coiled with nichrome 3.5mm coils 26awg. Loads of flavour on the dripbox 160. And I've got the wraith as embra suggested. Hadaly single coiled at 0.4. Lovely and good cell life. If you don't go too low you can use a higer mah battery.

Yeah, thats a good idea for out and about - aim for around the 0.5 mark then it should be good for a day! Have you got the hadaly on nichrome too?
