Glad I could at least help a little, and thanks @StrawberryRipple for the superb advice, I hadn't thought about dropping the coils really close.

No no, you were a great help thank you.
I was reluctant to set the coils that close as I was lead to believe that being set higher would allow for better flavour. I had played around with distances before and felt that higher was better (as in my pics) but, being super close, has, for some reason, seemed to boost the flavour massively (after chugging through a whole tank in about 20mins)
All this diy seems to be so hardware specific, and tatse is so varied from person to person, that really, it seems the only way to get results YOU are happy with, is blooming try every single combination and pieces of advice offered until you find the neigh on perfect set up!

I would still be deeply unhappy with vaping if it hadn’t been for all the advice offered on this forum to me and others, and though it’s been a rocky couple of months, I now have two perfect diy juices, and now know how to set up my mod to get the best flavour, so happy bloody days!

And so long as the deck allows and airflow still keeps the coils cool enough then usually having the coils a little higher does improve flavour.
The kensi is different than most though due to the honeycomb plates.

I’ve now just done almost 8ml in less than an hour because it tastes so good! On powerful (a slight boost at the beggining of the draw), at 55w, airflow fully open....perfect!

Happy bunny (bet my bunny emojis don’t show, but take my word for it, they maybe invisible, but they are very happy none the less!

So glad to hear that you have found the setup that works for you, I'm still experimenting myself and going through all the different types of coils and builds looking for the perfect setup (which still eludes me) but with each thing I try I seem to get a little closer. I do love this forum for the helpful people, still not got into making my own juices yet (that's next on the list) and to be honest I find that even more daunting than the builds

If you can give a kid calpol you can mix juice safely so don't find it daunting mate just start of with either one shot concentrates or other people's recipies on ELR if I can mix juice (and I'm a fuck wit) then anyone can [emoji6]

Is there anywhere you would recommend getting a "starter kit" from, it's something I wouldn't mind trying, but I'm a little unsure as to where I should go to buy the things u would need?

Starter kits are a waste of money mate but darkstar have you covered for everything from bottle shots you just top up with VG/PG and nic to concentrates you can mix your own recipes with

Start up a new thread, i’ll be happy to tell you what NOT to do (from my vast experience of diy failure!...it’s a skill to be as crap as me at mixing!

Ok so haven’t been on here for sometime, Shame on me lol.
Updated my equipment I’m now vaping on a vandyvape pulse 2 which I’m loving. Been a good few months now and I’m enjoying using it. Have use my dead rabbit RDA on it and was good. Asked around to find out about mesh RDAs and was told they are a waste of time and effort alway dry hitting etc. But thankfully I ignored this information a went on a search to find out myself. I purchased a wofo profile mesh RDA.
OMG it amazing it has a spring loaded plate that continuously puts upwards pressure on the cotton. So it is always in contact with the coil / mesh. The juice also hits the cotton straight from underneath, drenching it. Only 1 dry it andthat was due to me being to keen and forgetting to pump the juice up lmao. 2 nd mesh in A1 after 3 months of use. Highly recommend people. Also the clamp mechanism let’s you use standard coils as well. Will post some pics ASAP. Please go have a look for yourself if you haven’t used a mesh RDA.
