I am pretty sure if EFVI could get us banners in the sizes we need, that I could ask OS to put them in with the vendors advertisements. But that's only if they have them for us to put there So if some one wants to contact them, that would be great. One less thing I need to do in the daily grind.

An advertising ban would be simple enough to deal with on the internet. Its not something we've discussed as of yet, but there are other possibilities. We also have time (if it does come into effect) to figure out how to work it. I think between all of us, we would come up with something feasible which would still allow the vendors the ability to reach their targeted audiences and hopefully still keep this place open. We're a creative lot, so I am sure something can be done.

Trust me, we all know and are aware that we could lose POTV as a whole over the ban. There isn't a day that goes by that I don't think about what it would mean to lose over 8,000 friends in the blink of an eye.

I do tend to get a bit worked up at times and did not mean to cause any offence to either you or OccultScientist.
I`m very aware of the amount of passion and work you put into this place and it is very much appreciated.

I hope you can see I wasn`t intending that post as an attack on anyone at all. I would`t want to see POTV become a, primarily, political vaping site as this would damage its universal appeal it just seems that you have to be actively looking for the major news stories like the TPD etc. rather than them jumping out at me.

It`s certainly a balancing act the site has to perform and it, mostly, gets this right, it just feels like you often have to go looking for the big news stories unless someone links to them in general chat for example.

I hope we haven`t "fallen out" over this Kulr, certainly was not my intention.

Today we find out if Martin will allow split votes on the TPD so I hope this goes our way...

Speaking purely personally, what time I had was devoted, prior to the vital MEP vote... to blogging, twatting, emailing and meeting MEPs and occasionally commenting on various media sites, as well as helping ex-students set up vaping groups abroad. Since life has increased its demands on my time, this has dropped to simply maintaining email pressure, which I believe is the priority. I don't get involved in thunderclaps etc as I think they're a waste of time but there isn't a petition out there that I haven't signed, afaik... and all my local representatives know who I am

A lot of people I know are as active as me, and many more so... but in a quiet way that goes unnoticed... and others do whatever they agree with and can do. Time is limited, life intrudes and everyone has different priorities.

So... I guess what I'm saying is... chin up... don't let the perception of 'apathy' get you down or make you frustrated... because even those vapers who simply vape and do little else are still a +1 on the user stats that the more active among us often quote. They are a silent drop in the tsunami of revolution and without them, we'd still be a puddle.

Having now been enlightened, on what I though was another petition, I WAS WRONG. This isn't another petition, like others may also be thinking.
It's as it says, an initiative, to allow us to table our own regulations / EU directive.
And it ain't gonna happen with out the correct amount of support within the time frame. From across Europe.

Not just us the users need to give support. It can be signed by anyone 18 or over.
Tobacco smoking affects everyone, in one way or another.
Everyone has brothers, sisters, mum and dad etc etc.
Get them to sign as well, as they will be affected by you returning to tobacco.

And because like I said I now know how important this is to us all, I'm gonna be a pain in the arse with it, until it's done.
So the sooner you get it done, the sooner I will stop. Or admin. intervene.
