I would have guessed me being in the blue but just about 2 squares up & 2 squares right
or something like that
but like I said the choices are very binary to strong binary
no middle ground and most situations often require more context to formulate a valid opinion
I did a managerial test once & the lady in HR said she had never seen so many "depends"
Afterwards she grilled me on my answers but I defended them with conviction
One example was requiring an en employee to take their break later, but they refused
My depend answer was that person might have a valid reason like always going to lunch with somebody
if it was short notice, could I get somebody else to cover or was the task imperative that nobody else could do
plus was the time spent arguing & following a discussion/procedure/company policy etc...
would it really be worth "cracking the whip" unless it was absolutely vital etc...
So I stand by my answer of depends as each situation is different, pick my battles carefully
but I also have to work alongside these people - yet at the same understand being a "nice" manger/supervisor
can be a sign of weakness if left unchecked
it is a fine line to walk, so my judgement will ultimately "depend" on the circumstances
but me a lefty - naahhh I have mellowed but not THAT much
