Ive just done 2 micro coils, wrapped em directly on the ss rope wick (with ss mesh wrap aswell) worked a treat, torched it while it was on wick to hold the coils. No hot legs, think 1 was about 6 wraps with .23 got me 1.3ohm. But was going "Renegade" just to have a go, next time i'll make note of proceedings lol. Was on RSST and AGA -T2.

That is a bloody good idea about using a screw!
Niche market lol, go to B&Q and buy a bag of the right size screws and sell them as microcoil winding jigs

I've got some very good coil winding jigs if anyone is interested. Only £50 each

im using an m3 screw and 0.3 kanthal, 6or 7 wraps to get around 1-1.2 ohms. superb

ok update 6 wraps .25 2mm driver 1.6ohms I can live with that until i get more thicker wire

twisted microcoil 9wraps 3mm machine screw @ 1.5ohm snake oil combo nearly coughed up a lung intense flavour tho

Made my first 2 micro's yesterday, first one came out at 5.4, which after a bit of fiddling got down to 3.6. Tried it and it vaped ok, but quickly decided to try another.

Second one was 2.6, which was tolerable, but would like to get down to 1.2 - 1.5. Need to try heating after the coil has been made, but don't think SWMBO would approve of me flaming her tweezers.

Off for supplies today.
