Hello all, new here and new to vaping and need some help!

A couple of weeks ago i decided to give vaping a go and get off the stinkies, great decision and i have not looked back. However, vaping has not been plain sailing!!

I started off by buying a eGo vision 650 with a CE4 clearomiser. It was great, i loved it for the first few days then decided i needed a better hit. After a little research i decided on a kanger evod clearomiser, mainly because it looked better. After using it for 5 minutes i was back to the CE4, i found the evod was like sucking through a straw with lots of air and a gargling noise, also the occasional bit of eliquid in my mouth.

I decided that it must have just been a dodgy clearomiser so bought another, same thing happened. After a little research i found out i could change the coil/atomiser. I wanted a big throat hit so bough a 1.8 ohms coil. Unfortunately nothing changed, i was still sucking on air with a mouthful of eliquid from time to time.

Today i decided to buy an ANYVAPE DAVIDE. Although it was an OK vape to start with it was still a little bit too much air and no throat hit. I persisted with it until i picked it up after a cup of tea and got the gargling noise and a bit of eliquid in my mouth!! I took it all apart, clean it and tried again but no different. ITS DRIVING ME INSANE!!

I am now back to the original CE4, again.

I really can't figure out what i am doing wrong? why do i keep breaking them? surely i couldn't have bought 3 dodgy ones in a row?

I like vaping and don't want to go back to ciggies so i am willing to spend more to get the perfect vape.

I want something thats reliable, will give a strong throat hit and produce a lot of vape, any suggestions? I thinking of a Innokin iTaste MVP2, wise choice?

Thanks in advance

Well, I don't get the gurgling/leakage on Evods, but I will admit it's a cooler and perhaps more airy vape than the CE4 (can't comment on the Davide).

If the airy, cool vapes aren't doing it for you, certainly don't go down the route of a Protank, as those are airier still.

You might find a DCT is more suitable. These have the material found in the cigalike carts, but are set in a tank that holds juice. It's a very different vape to the CE4 and Evod - very warm, lots of vapour and I find it seems to carry flavour better.

There are various types around, the only one I've tried so far is the unbranded one from FastTech. I loved it and have 2 more on order along with 10 spare carts for them.

This is the one I have

Lots of UK vendors will carry similar things

thanks for the reply.

I just googled the DCT and it looks similar to the Davide i have. I want something more specialist, preferable a MOD but i want something that will give a good throat hit and a lot of vaper. I just don't know which one would offer this?

a SMOK RSST.. easy to build with mesh and wire and good throat hit

Have to agree with the above. Bear in mind you will have patience when rebuilding it. And you need to be able to check the ohm after rebuilding.

I will say that I manage to get a throat hit on the dct's I find some flavours gives more throathit than others and I have never had issues with liquid from them when vaping and I can take some long heavy lugs on mine.

Hi. What juice are you vaping? That will play a big factor too. You should get a decent throat hit off an 18mg juice and if you're looking for more vapour then you want something with a higher VG content. 70/30 PG/VG seems to be the standard tho I prefer 60/40 or 50/50 mixes myself.

Not tried one yet, but for flavour, a dripper seems to be hard to beat

The Davide may look similar, but doesn't work the same way. The Davide is a BCC, like the Evod (though it looks like it has dual coil). The DCT has a core with wadding & coil. The wadding absorbs the juice and is heated throughout its length by the Dual Coil. It is a VERY different vape to the BCCs

I just googled the SMOK RSST and found this video; http://www.vapegear.co.uk/product/rsst I must admit, it gave me a semi chub! its just what i am after. I am a little worried about adding the mesh and wick, is this easy to do? does it come with instructions?

Also, someone above mentioned i would need to check the ohm after rebuilding, how would i do this? What battery is best for the SMOK RSST?
