What's new

Gone and done it now!

My man now you are making me hyperventilate in panic! 0.075 is super low or super high. Maths is not my strong point. Could you explain again how ohms is worked out. Do i add the value of the 2 coils then half it. Im only used to wattage settings a s far as vaping goes. Do they not have an upper or lower power range as im looking for 60-65w hence the scott coild were recommended to me for that range.

Really sorry just don't want things going wrong with already limited vision and knowledge.

It's not 0.075, think Gary got his maths a wee bit wrong. It'll be 0.18 and that's perfectly fine and safe.

You just half the ohms of 1 single coil and that gives you the ohms of a dual coil set up. It's that easy so please don't worry.

The coils you have will get you around where you want watts wise but you might prefer it a wee bit lower or a wee bit higher.

am a partially sighted vaper and have just delved into RTA territory. I have ordered the dead rabbit RTA v3, Scotts fused clapton 0.15 coils and finally some hellvape organic shoestring cotton.

He bought a pair of 0.15 Scott's coils

Unless Scott's coils are rated as a pair ....If not ...a pair of 0.15 coils will give 0.075

Right I've checked some listings and coils by Scott are indeed rated as pairs ...

Stop hyperventilating .your pair of coils by Scott are 0.15. Or 0.3 if using single

Ah sorry mate. I see that now. You are, of course correct. I was reading his other post where it says the rta comes with 0.37 coils.

I've corrected in my last post ...Scott's coils are rated as pairs

Gentlemen thank you for the help it has been very much appreciated. My goodies arrive today, i may have many more questions when that time comes. I will leave you in peace.... for now :)

Whilst you`re waiting for your vaping gear to arrive could I suggest that you take a look at www.steam-engine.org, there`s a wealth of interesting material on there, in particular it explains the relationship between amps, volts and watts (ohms law), maybe not as important if you intend using a regulated mod (one with adjustable wattage and a screen), it also gives an explanation for some things that are usually taken for granted.

It's here and now the cold chills are starting. Think I'm all set as a coil tool was included. One assumes you just pop the coil in and cut the legs to length.

Any recommendations on leg length.
