What's new

Gone and done it now!

It was quite tight pulling it through. Think I will have to start again but unsure if I need to clean the coils and deck before I do.

Nah, just take the wick out and give the coil a quick burn to clean it up, then make sure there's adequate wick in the coil and in the wells.

Did you thin the tails of the wicks out? I can see that you`ve crammed the wicks into the juice wells, that can create a pinch point and prevent proper wicking so not enough juice is getting to the coils, hence 3 decent drags then crap. Find some different videos to watch, there are plenty about.

It's a bit difficult to see buddy, but yes don't think i did it right. Only have a tooth pick to fluff them up.

There is a knack to it, I find it best to put a small screwdriver under the wick and lift it just enough so that I can get the wick ends into the juice well, ideally what you are after is all the wick ends just touching the deck with no folds.

Ok final update of the day, had enough since starting at the start of this thread!

Rewicked and set device to 70w with coils at 0.18 ohms.
Seems better but getting a lot of loud pops and some spitting, as if the coils are flooded which goes the harder I pull on it.

Thanks again guys and really sorry to bombard you all.

Makes a pleasant change answering vape queries rather than the usual psih about cats and word-chains, you just keeping asking away, you'll get there.

Dont give in, try 55 watts with the air flow fully open, if that`s better take it up in 2 watt steps. If that`s no better drain the tank, remove the wick and dry everything off, including blowing down the drip tip. If you used all of the cotton supplied, try with about 2/3 the thickness, some manufacturers have a strange idea of how much cotton it takes to fill a 3mm coil, rebuild the atty, refill and leave it for 15 minutes to soak the wick, try at 50 watts and increase in small amounts until you get a decent vape.
You dont always need 70 watts to get a decent vape out of .19 ohm coils, you should start feeling it at about 55, then it`s personal preference.

Honestly mate, we all started off the same. It takes some people time and other just get it. Stick with it and it will come naturally.
