Have your say - Creating a smokefree generation

Actually I've just read that "North Korea has sent large amounts of weapons to Russia to help Moscow fight its war in Ukraine" ... so I think you were right, WWIII is looking more likely than a flavour ban right now.

It's only a matter of when/if China get involved and who they support, they could be sitting tight and watching the West getting involved spending/using up cash n weapons everywhere.....then make a move.
I don't think they are stupid though and will most likely slap Putin and Kim Jong Un...but you never know.
The middle East Im not too sure about...it's always about religion and land...no worth the hassle I would leave them to it.

It`s sods law, we`ve got a bunch of tories who are pro vaping but couldn`t organise a wank in a nudist colony and it looks like we`re going to swop them for a bunch of vaping luddite labour tossers.

Makes you wonder why we bother doesn't it?

..... well I don't really, I've only voted for one of those parties once. I usually get in the booth and just can't bring myself to do it. Even though I know voting for anyone else isn't gonna change anything, at least I don't feel like I'm going to puke the next morning. :D

What we need is a vape party, like the raving looney party was, but for vapes rights & who better too lead it but our Mawsley.

I get on ok with my mp, I`ve written to her a few times and she always passes me on to the relevant minister, my personal crusade is for more interest in geothermal energy, nobody ever mentions it in any discussions about green energy.

my local mp is feckin useless & the only we the locals get too see her is on telly

To be fair I think the writing is on the wall am I watching my life saving go down the pan yes think I am, everything I have worked towards for 8 years, the hoops I’ve had to jump through and pay for…

apart from on here (on potv) because of potv staff who are on the ball as always. I haven’t seen any mainstream YouTube people talk about this paper in depth apart from one mention

that’s it

Have I missed something?

conclusion vaping is pretty well screwed if not now then soon

I fear you are probably right... (but hope not of course!)

Just been reading an article about it today -
What could the future hold … For a smoke-free UK with tighter vaping restrictions?
https://ecigintelligence.com/what-c...oke-free-uk-with-tighter-vaping-restrictions/
The other main part of the consultation covers vaping specifically, and here the government seems much more confident, at least in some areas.
On flavours, for example, while it does ask whether there should be any restrictions at all, the consultation is much more focused on determining exactly what form those restrictions should take (the options are allowing tobacco only; tobacco, mint and menthol; or all those plus fruit flavours). The consultation very much implies that restrictions are a given, and only their precise shape is up for discussion.
Which is exactly what has been commented on already (and I criticised in the consultation itself), but if this statement (some kind of restriction is to be a given) is true, what is wrong with let's say coffee flavour? A flavour albeit not particularly popular amongst vapers anyway, and certainly I would say not a child-friendly flavour, but where would be the sense in banning it (amongst others)?
But judging by what we can deduce from the way the UK consultation is presented, it may be safe to predict that while a generational age ban is far from a certainty, some level of flavour ban is very likely.
And there of course is your slippery slope...

New Zealand just recently rolled back a law that was "blah blah age, could not buy cigarettes or tobacco after a certain age"
Yeah right. Looked good. The new Govt just ditched it as they crunched the numbers and thought "nah, we need the tuxes" (NZ version of mangled English language for Taxes!)
What a joke.
