Hi
Could anybody help me, i've been smoking fifty years ( Golden Virginia ) and have now decided to start vaping, i'm a complete novice ( i've not got a pipe or any equipment) i thought i would ask people who vap what is the best way to start, i'm a pensioner and don't want to waste money on equipment that's rubbish,

Firstly, welcome to the planet Trev, you are certainly in the right place

Now all equipment to use is subjective, but firstly, I would say we would need to define, the best level of nicotine strength you would need. Can I ask you how many roll ups a day you smoke??

Also what type of flavours do you like, for example fruits, puddings, sweet flavours, menthol. I would personally stay away from tobacco flavours as they are certainly the hardest to replicate. I was adament when I started, I wanted tobacco, and within a few days, I was on fruits

Hello and welcome Trev where in the country do you reside? I would look at an ego as a first kit and note I recently saw one with charger at around a tenner with carto, this will help you decide if vaping is for you, juice gets a bit tricker as taste is so subjective!!

Hi I smoked golden virginia for 35 years, started with a green smoke cigalike, and I stopped immediately. I loved tobacco flavour to start with, and then within two weeks used anything but. I changed to a riva 1100 starter kit, as I wanted a battery and liquid to last longer. The riva kit came with cartos, clearomizer too so I could try both, I now use my riva batteries with kanger t3' clearomizers as you can fit 2.4ml of liquid in, and the battery lasts me all day.
They are easy to clean, and change the coil (bottom bit) after a few months if clogged up, and off you go again.
I now mix my own juice, and am about to rewick my kangers myself.
It takes time to experiment and find out what will suit you personally.
You can get all the help you need here, I did and I moved on up to better things.

I would say that vaping beats the F out of smoking for these reasons.

1.Doesnt cost massive amount (we know we can spend more than we save but doesnt have to be the case)
2.Health advantages
3.The variety of flavours available.
4.Its not under the same smoking laws(check with the establishment).
5.Health advantages (so massive id mention it twice).
6.Doesnt make ya house or you stink

So I think you are making the right move

Trev I would recommend an ego kit with ce5 if you shop around you can get one for around the £15 mark if not cheaper as for juice taste is so subjective and maybtake you a while to find one that like but if you get a kit let me know and I will send you some Gold/silver from misty which is tobaccoesque

Hey. Welcome. I too recommend an ego ce5 srarter kit. I got mine from paradise vape uk with 10ml of juice for about £ 12 posted and im loving it. Irs day 16 today and im already lookong into vv batts and clearos like a vivi nova. You are in for a great journey my friend ive tried quiting so many times and the last 2 weeks has seemed so easy I wish id found vaping earlier.
