What's new

Hi I am Sarah, Cambridge

Welcome to the planet.
I recommend you go on onepoundeliquid and order 20+ flavours: fruit, soda, tobacco, menthol, desert, coffee, pastries and see what you like.
If you don't like a flavour it's only a pound so you can bin it.

I personally like ice/mint fruit flavours. Try out as many flavours as possible in the beginning so that you can narrow in on what you like.
Also, if you are buying from a local shop, ask to try the juice before you buy. I got stuck with some sickeningly sweet fruit cheesecake the first time I bought locally.

Hi and welcome

pods systems maybe worth a look, if you're central cambridge you'll want to order online as there isnt a decent shop

Yes things up here are very very expensive, I did peek in the vape shop but at the time I didnt really know what I was looking for and everything seemed very pricey.

Thank you to everyone for being so friendly and helpful!! And so quick to answer too!

Also i did try someones vape thingie before and totally coughed my guts up.

There are two basic types of vape kit - Mouth to lung (MTL) and Direct to lung (DTL)

Mouth to lung replicates the way most people smoke - you draw the vapour into your mouth by sucking in your cheeks, then inhale the vapour down into your lungs. These kits don't make too much vapour when you exhale.

Direct to lung replicates how a few people smoked, but is more like taking a hit from a "bong". It involves inhaling the vapour straight into your lungs by taking a large deep breath, just like how you might breathe in before holding your breath. These are the kits where people blow giant clouds of vapour.

If you try to vape on a DTL kit in the same way you used to smoke, it might be what caused all the coughing. Or vice versa.

If the vape shop is half way decent, they should let you try out some different kits, MTL and DTL, and also test different juice flavours.

Welcome Sarah.

The jac vapour is good as a starter indeed, there’s a good few others though.

I’d recommend checking out @REJUICED for liquid = decent/ cheap/ reliable. Also check the ‘bargain basement’ thread on the forum here regularly - you can subscribe to get updates.

hi sarah and welcome to the forum and good luck with finding a suitable vape, its worth the search
