As I said, I use 4 strands of 1mm in a vivi, I tried with 2 but it felt like I was wrapping the wire too tight.

ok mate thanks so just cut four pieces the same size then wrap the wire round them how many raps would you recommend is the more raps more ohms thanks again

It depends on the gauge of the wire. With that liberty flights wire I have to double twist it then about 4 wraps to get 2.5 ish ohms.

Consider that you can also use a bigger diameter wick, let's say 3mm or 3,5mm, as I do for double coils, and then pull strands out if it's not wiking well.
One of the few cases where is easier to take away than to add more beforehand
