So 24 hours in using your method... and I can definitely say it works well for me
I have re-wicked my Exocet 6 times in the last 2 days so I have tried a few and this is the only one I have had real success with...
Been using it all day and still going strong, no dry hits so far which was my problem before, I still think I have a tad to much cotton in there but while it’s working I’m gonna leave it alone and just try less cotton when it’s time to re-wick again...

That’s my plan, want to try and get the least amount of wick without leaking...

I just got the sxk version of this yesterday. It’s pretty good, first build with a 2mm coil was flooding a bit. Not enough cotton, I think. 2.5mm and a slightly adapted version of your technique (left the ends a bit longer) and it’s excellent. I’ve put some mesh in the air hole to reduce the airflow.

Better than the insider and maybe on a par with the vapeshell, I’d say, after a days use.

Yes, I think flavour can be as good as the Vapeshell, but it's a bit more fiddly to build for me.

See now I find the Exocet flavour much better than the vapeshell but I suppose it’s just down to preferential setup

Aye it’s definitely down to personal preference. After a day with it I’m quite impressed. For me it seems easier to build than the vapeshell, as well.
