Hi there, I am really seeking some advice. I have smoked heavily since around the age of 14, everything that stopped other people did not stop me. I am an entrenched addict. 6 wks ago I switched to pipe thing that you put the nicotine liquid in - I bought from probably the most well known supplier who incidentally knows nothing about customer service what so ever and I am starting to think there product is actually sub standard, the 'clearomiser' you put the liquid in often leak and produce a burnt taste.

I cannot sustain this as these products are crap, can anyone offer a trusted alternative ? I use the strongest oil golden Virginia flavour 2.4 % nicotine. Advice and guidance very appreciated x

There's some really good people here who will guide you in the right direction. I know what you mean, I was a heavy smoker and absolutely could not quit, I tried loads of times.
Anyway, after joining here and getting some kit, I'm entering my second week of not smoking. With the right kit, IT CAN BE DONE!!
Some of it can seem to be a little bit expensive, but when you add up the cost of your smoking, it's absolute peanuts. And when you try to put a price on your health, well, you just can't.

For what it's worth, I bought the MVP V2 and afterwards bought a VTR both using the standard tanks they came with. What was vital to me, as someone dependant on smoking, was reliability. If something went wrong, I'd be back on the smokes like a shot which is why I bought two devices. Although, in all honesty, the battery is good enough on the MPV to last a full days heavy use without any problem at all.

But, yes, get the right kit and you won't need the smokes...and I never thought I'd say that!!

Good luck

EDIT: Just a thought, you may want to copy your post into the new user questions forum. It's a lot more active re advice, this section seems to be more just for introductions.

Maybe try posting here?

Hi there listen please don't give in listen to what Panter is saying it is so true as I have been there to very heavy smoker from the same age twenty odd years ago and I have now been vaping for around 15 months and would never look back I tried all the usual starter kits that just would not take away my cravings but found this place and just went with some very good advice about getting the right kit which really does make a difference there are so many choices out there I would just advise you to take as much time as you need to have a hard look at what is available out there and get something that sounds like it will suit your needs I promise it will be worth it in the end very best of luck and let us know how you get on.

Aloha man, we know the feeling, most of us have had an experience like this, can you provide any more info (tank, battery, etc.) then we can give some more advice.

Personally i found that with the CE4 style tank (the one with the strands hanging down) because of how much i was vaping the wicks weren't soaking up fast enough, then i saw the EVOD style tanks (ones with the wicks at the bottom) and got a Kanger protank 3 (cause it was highly rated on forums) and haven't looked back. Since then I've got the Aerotank (also the Aero valve for the protank, which i highly recommend) and the Unitank (not so much). With the wick being at the bottom of the tank, liquid is always on there so doesnt take as long to soak up and can go for hours (or until my battery output drops off, then i just switch batteries).

In regards to liquid, i found the tobacco flavours taste nothing like what they should and usually have a burnt taste to them. But each to their own. Maybe try a menthol flavour, since they can be very nice and a little change might help (or go for a coffee flavoured one cause they can be amazing (again personal preference)).

Tanks leaking usually means that either its being overfilled and not actually leaking or something is loose (or worst case - badly made), try tightening up the tank if you can but without details of where the leak is theres not much else i can talk about (probably think i should shut up anyway :P)

Good luck and happy vaping

Like the others have said, don't give up, I aint had an urge to touch a pouch of bacci for 8 days now, I'm using this....

The Smoker's Angel Tank-1 Kit : E Cigarette Direct

There are similar ones around and Imo its a good starter for coming off the cigs, well its working for me. I just gotta try and get my hands on a nice glass tank or two for now.
The guys n gals here will help loads, stick with it :goodluck:

Nice to meet you :)

I wasn't a particularly heavy smoker so I might not be the best person to advise you, but I had been smoking from about the same age and I have found that the advice available here really makes a difference. The difference in quality between what can be found online and what is available in most high street shops is astounding. My first device was a CE4 and it lasted about 10 days, fortunately by that time I had found this place and instead of wasting money on inferior products I was able to spend wisely on something far more effective and reliable.

The best advice I can give you is to stop looking at eBay and start looking directly at the vendors sites links to which can be found in the forum pages.

:2thumbsup: Hello there, Nice to meet you!!! And what they all said!!!

Welcome. I smoked from 15 until 69 and gave up due to heart attack at Christmas. Tried lots of times before but done it now due to gear available. I started with CE4`s and still use them when i`m out. Then bought Aerotank which I`m not too keen on. After reading lots on here I went to Naturevape and bought a Mini Pro and some of their coils. They are magic !!. You get great taste and loads of vapour. I`ve just re-coiled 2 of them and it took 5 minutes You can also get alternative to Mini Pros from Fasttech.
The main item I bought which helped me was House of Liquid Cigarrillos. I`m vaping it now and just put in another order. Have a look at their web site.
Good luck !

This is what I bought: iTaste MVP V2.0 Carbon Black - Mods (different colours are available)
It's a complete kit, so contains everything you need to get you started except for your juice.
The battery life is good enough for me, as a heavy smoker, to last all day vaping.
If you were to go for the above, I'd recommend that you also get one of these which is a spare coil/wick assembly. The coil is the little wire that actually heats and vapourises the juice, they do burn out so if you're carrying a spare then you won't get caught out. (they're very easy to change)
I'd actually recommend getting a spare tank too if you can stretch to it (the iClear30S that comes with the kit above has been fine for me) so that you can keep it filled with a different juice to give yourself a change of flavour without having to faff around, they just screw on and off.

If you don't want something that boxy looking, you can get more slender type battery packs, but the big plus for me of the MVP is the battery life.

I'm very new at this so can't give you loads of advice, but the above is what's kept me off the smokes for over a week now, which is what it's all about :)

Hope that helps!
