What's new

I suspect I could be doing better at this... advice welcomed!!

10 weeks for me without the rollups, and I was a relatively heavy smoker.

I started out with a pair of EGO-T batteries with CE4 clearomisers, which were a bit rubbish and prone to leakage.
I then progressed to an Aspire ET-S BDC
Aspire ET-S BDC Glass Version - Clearomizers

Then I added a Kanger Mini Protank 3
Kanger Mini Protank 3 - Clearomizers

And finally I picked up a cheap EVOD 1100mah battery with an EVOD Clearomiser.

The key is to always make sure you have some spare coil heads like Panter said. You do get the occasional dud head, even new out of the packet, so you need to be aware of that.

I am now re-coiling all of my own heads, and I am ready for a mod (or APV), like the MVP that Panter also mentioned.

So, you can do it, it doesn't matter if you dual fuel (use both e-cig and smoke) until you are ready to make the switch. If it cuts down your cigarette smoking then its all good!

I was a 20 a day smoker for the best part of 20 years and never thought I'd quit.

not particularly heavy, but I tried most quit methods going, they were all shite.

There are much better alternatives out there, though the best option is a good quality eGo Twist battery with a reasonable tank thing on top of it.

An eGo battery that is branded SmokTech, JoyeTech, Vision, Janty or AnyVape should last a good while and if you get one that has a twisty thing at the bottom that lets you change the power settings then that's as good as most stuff out there.

An MVP kit might also be a good choice too. A eGo Twist kit with 2 batteries will cost around £40 as will an MVP kit.

As far as the tank bit that you put the liquids in. (They're not oils, as they don't have any oil in them, any shops that tell you they are oils don't know what the hell they are talking about)

Go for one of the following and you can't go far wrong:

Mini ProTank2 or mini ProTank3
Innokin iClear16
aspire BDC clearomiser (there's a few styles it's the BDC that's important)
Kanger EVOD or EVOD 2

any of those will give you a decent vape and they range in price from about £5 to about £10

all of them are the same diameter as an eGo battery and will work just fine. If you have a choice for resistance for the coils in them then go for around about 2ohms (1.8 to 2.2ohms is about ideal to start off with)

If you get a twisty eGo start off turning it to 3.6volts and then if you want more power turn it up, and if it's a bit too much turn it down. Different juices and different clearomisers work better on slightly different settings, but 3.6volts is a good place to start.

Loads of people have switched from smoking. Once you find a setup that works well for you it gets a lot easier. Lots of posters here have been in exactly the same situation.

Welcome to the planet :)
