Just received my Ego starter kit. Ego battery 1100amh and CE5 clearomiser.

oh. my. god.

It is sooooo much better than the nicolites I had before! Massive hit and loads of vapour - really feel it! Clearer and purer, more concentrated taste of the liquid (Nuclear Plusion - highly recommended)

Also, a big nicotine hit straight away. No danger of oversmoking, as I found I was doing before.

Wow. Anyone on e-cigs should definitely upgrade!

Just one question - when I press the battery button, if I am not already inhaling, some vapour escapes from the join between clearomiser and battery. Is this normal?

Hey, glad you like the go kit and the Nuclear Plusion. It is awesome!

I don't think vapour escaping from the join between clearo and battery sound right. I'm just going to test mine out...

Nope, mine doesn't do that. It just starts to sound a bit stroppy if I am firing it up but not vaping.

Not something I've ever noticed - others might have a reason for it.

Congrats on upgrading - batteries and tanks are worlds apart from the cigalikes. I'm still with the egos (though got an itaste VV v3.0 on order), but I quickly moved on from the CE4 tanks to Protanks, Evods, Protank Minis and the DCT - all better than the CE range in my opinion.

But you have plenty of time to explore all of that

Thanks guys.

Another question: how many times can I refill the clearomiser? I know I Should invest in a few but I have just one right now.

Nicolite cartos as a backup.

:D yay!

Sometimes the vapour is trapped inside, its just escaping from the air hole in the bottom :)

I've read very different reports on the lifespan of clearos/heads - to be honest, I was vaping CE4s for weeks and never had one die through natural use - one just stopped working within a few hours, but the rest still work - my issue was that some didn't work very well, even on an Ego Twist. They do also need a clean out fairly regularly to get the maximum performance and longevity from it, so it's good to have spare clearos and heads (if you're like me - A LOT of spare clearos!!)

The CE5 has replaceable wick/coil, and it is worth getting spares ASAP, as it won't last indefinitely - or alternatively, consider a couple of Evods and spare heads. They perform well, have replaceable heads and look great on the Ego

As for the escaping vape at the base, it's just back venting so to speak. If you give it a little blow instead of suck you'll see what I mean. I get it all the time, on all tanks, it's just the way I vape.

I can normally refill my ce5's 4 or 5 times before needing to clean. I.ve had heads that last only days before the coil goes, others weeks, I have one that is now 2 months old.
Get yourself a back of some sort because you never know when it will break or get broken.
I find that the 1.8 ohm heads work better with me standard 1100mah ego battery. (1.4 is even better but I make them myself)

I've used clearos many times, filled and refiled. I have also dry-burn cleaned them. They are all still working 6 weeks later although I have moved on to evods and pro tanks now as I much prefer the BCC and the airy draw I get from them.
There are plenty of vids and posts about on how to dry-burn clean your clearos. Definitely get a few back-ups though.
I have bought 6 on Amazon for less than a tenner! And they are all working fine. It's a bit of a gamble with cheaper ones as sometimes they don't work but with that price, I was willing to take that chance.

Ooh you little minx you!!

Thanks guys.

Use them until the flavour dies or they do, just wash them out every few days. If you like Aniseed / Cinnamon flavours then you should invest in a Pyrex tank soonish, some of those flavours can be a bit hard on the plastic tanks and they may crack or frost up...
