Hi all
Please can someone advise me I have just bought the new kangertech subox ......and I have just read reviews that the volt and wattage are not true readings on this device ,what I would like to know is if I am vaping at 14 watts with a 0.5 ohm coil how many volts will I be at ? What I am concerned about is going above the 4 volts mark ! As you will tell I am a newbie to all of this so any advice would be greatly appreciated thanks in advance.

I wouldn't worry too much - these devices have safety features to prevent accidents. If you're using stock coils there's nothing to worry about, if you're building your own stay above 0.5 till you know what you're doing.

Thanks for the reply... But what I wanted to know is If I'm vaping at 14 watts what volts will I be at..I read if you vape above 4 volts you release alsorts of nasties.I don't understand why the volts on the lcd are not the true volts.

I read if you vape above 4 volts you release alsorts of nasties.

Where did you read that? As I have never read that anywhere before, and no offence but it's complete bullshit to be honest.

By all accounts if that is the case, I should be dead...

What you have read about volts is BS. The reports about nasties are if you start burning the cotton etc and even then if you were a smoker the harm is negligible compared to the cigs. You can use whatever volts/watts you want with your Subtank. Start low and work your way up until you're happy. If it tastes slightly burnt back the watts/volts off a little bit. There is no correct answer as everyone vapes differently. It's just trial and error to get the vape you need to satisfy yourself.

I think most of the forum regulars would be.

As you say probably bullshit, but I read vapor produces fomeldahyde at 4 volts and above.....as u said I'm new to this so I'm reading all the shit just trying to stay as safe as I can.
Thanks again for your replies.

That study has been debunked by a lot of actual experts, take no notice of that at all

Every battery likely to be used in vaping is fully charged to 4.2 volts.
