I've got a nice mod lot incoming with a decent car to tank too. With this in the bag I really want to get one or two of the best rebuildable atomizer going.

I've been looking at a load but the Kayfun, gg ithaka and Russian 91% kayfun clone are appealing.

I guess my question is are the kayfun and/or the ithaka worth the premium price or is it fanboy-ism and people having to show off?

Next is the Russian. I'm led to believe it's essentially a non - Chinese kayfun clone, but for a clone it's damn pricey. Still kicking around 60 quid. Do any of you own any of these devices AND an RBA in the 30-60 quid range think they perform just as well.

Any input really appreciated. Feel free to point me in the direction of any you think I should be considering. I want a really good unit and don't want to buy 3 or 4 cheaper ones only to realise I should have splashed put OR equally I don't want to sound over 100 quid on one to realise later that a 30 quid clone is just as good.

Anywho. Sorry for rambling and thanks in advance.

The Russian is apparently made by the firm that was originally machining the Kayfun, there was a falling out and they decided to continue making it under a different name - it's therefore not a clone as such but a variant of Identical quality. The clones are good but the fit and finish is not quite so good - that said @vapegeek has just got some KFL Clones that LOOK almost identical. I Have the Kayfun 3.1 and it's the dogs danglies, I use it constantly; its real advantage is that its actually really simple to coil and wick - essentially it's a dripper with a negative pressure juice feed system...

Right that explains the fact the Russian 91% one isn't priced like a clone. I'd love to try a kayfun and a kayfun clone. It's got to perform well to justify it's 100+ price tag against a 49 quid clone. At the end of the day it's the coils doing the work.

I ummed an ahhed for ages before buying a Kayfun Lite (got the Plus in the end) because it's a lot of money for me to lay out, but I'm glad I did and so far it feels like it's been worth every penny.

Can't comment on anything else but the KFL+ was money well spent for me.

Russian 91% is built in China kayfun is built in Germany there probably not identical quality for this reason :)

I'm actually watching YouTube reviews and the kfl looks great. What is it something like 40 quid cheaper and you just lose adjustable airflow and the filling method changes.

The shop up ripley (20 mins from you) has the clones in stock if you want to have a look at one. I get just as good a vape off the clone as I do the KFL. The build quality of the clone is very good but not quite up to the standard of the kayfun.... Is the original worth double the cost of the clone.....? That's a tough one to answer, For me, I would buy the kayfun purely on the basis that I am never going to need more than 2 or 3 so for just a little more why not have The best :)
