Kayfun for MVP v2 coiling

I have heard 1.2ohm is the key figure. I know it can fire down to 0.8 (I have had mine at 0.9) but as you say it won't use the full watts range at that level, but I was sure the threshold was 1.2 not 1.6

Coz i like Manabush juices i tend to Vape on 4.0 V 8.5W on my MVP and plan to use a 1.6 or 1.4 ohm coil will that ok? Will that tolerate any kind of movement on my Volts or Watts I may want to up it slightly but generally it seems good for the vape?

Any other videos or tips would be appreciated..thanks

Yes that will work well on the MVP it is the lower range that can cause issues. ZT would be proud of you for liking the juice at that setting :)

The thing I have found with the Manabush juices is that you need to watch the ohms depending on what device you are using. My Sigelei 30W unfortunately does not regulate down, so if the coil resistance is too low, it cannot cut down the power properly, thats why I currently have a 2 ohm coil in my Kayfun for the Accies Ambrosia thats in there!

how long do you have to re-wick re-coil using your juice? Accie ambrosia is 80/20 vg so quite thick? does ur coil get really gunky?

@zubair I got my Kayfun lite plus V2 from m-vapes also and it is fine. I didn't use the silica that came with it as I've read it's not much good. I first tried building a Navy nest coil using 2mm voodoowool, but I think the voodoowool is more like 3mm and too thick for a Navy Nest coil. My coil didn't fire very well.

I ended up going super simple and used this coil method: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Nqj63n633rU

There's some good tips in that vid, worth a watch!

The coil I made from following the above vid came out at 2ohms using 28 kanthal. I was aiming for around 1.6, but again as the voodoowool is more like 3mm not the stated 2mm, I should have used less wraps. Anyway I am getting a good amount of flavour and vapour at 7-9watts on my MVP 2.

Good luck,

lemon.

Yeah, its does get really gunky, I re-wick every two tanks or so. A quick rinse and a dry burn of the coil, fresh cotton and we are ready for action again!

Big thanks for all the advice and help. Going to go with wool set up...I will let you know how i get on tomorow

Awesome to hearwas very wary about getting a clone in general and im glad to hear the flavour and vapour production is good.

@zubair Yep, I researched for ages before settling with these guys and this clone. I received mine the very next day which was excellent service. The clone was also very clean looking. I emailed them to ask if they clean them before sending out. They told me they give them a good wipe but it is best to soak in warm water. I just soaked the whole thing, including polycarbonate tank, in fairy liquid, rinsed well and then left to dry out. I've had no taste of residue machine oil.

The only slight problems was I had to scrape away a little bit of metal that seemed like excess as it was coming away from the surface. But that was a tiny issue.

The other thing was the insulator underneath the positive post was not aligned with the positive post. I removed the air duct screw which loosened the positive post and then I could align the insulator. Course you may not have these problems, but they were easily fixable. It's just worth checking out the manual online and giving your product a good check to make sure everything looks alright. I think you've made the right choice. I hope yours arrives ok.
