I think that would cover most situations without leaving too much room for abuse*.

I quite often see posts where a 'like' isn't appropriate but 'sad' or 'shocked' might be.

It’s been back, for me, since I first looked, this morning.

I've seen heated discussions on forums about what's 'appropriate' with regard to the use of emojis and the withdrawal of some on the grounds they are being used in an 'inappropriate' way. Reminds me of the old saying, 'if you can't stand the heat, get out of the kitchen'.

I’m with you one this. Though you’ve got to have some restrictions, sadly.

to me it’s just marks on a screen, made by someone you’ll probably never meet. Though, that view, won’t stop me siding occasionally, with those who would like a restriction. I learned a long time ago. Some are very invested in their social net presence. And do take offence when I would see none. So my view is probably in a minority.
