What's new

Made my 1st "tin mod"

That's interesting, I'm a photographer and have a stack of old 60s 70s cameras that I bought in a job lot so tempted to convert one into a mod of some description

Be careful with that.. if the tape comes loose and cause a short, it could possibly cause your battery to overheat/go bang ... definitely not something you want to happen, especially if you're using a large battery like an 18650.

Those things can pack a wallop.

Yea I took it apart, I'm gonna get a soldering iron and redo it, def wanna be safe

I have my Suspicions you're really a Terrorist!!! and the the owner of the Oldest keyboard in Existence!!!

thankyou. i get the jist of it what is the black box please?

The black box is a second switch,as when I shove that box in my pocket there's a very high probability that the external switch is going to fire my atty, resulting in my gonads/moobs getting blistered.

So I had a couple old egos that I never used anymore, so I pulled one apart(leaving the connector with the positive and negative lead wires in tact). I had a halo sample tin that was lying around so I decided to build a mod. I took the battery assembly from an old mini flashlight, wired positive to positive, neg to neg and there you have it! And since I used the old switch it has a 5 click on/off switch. I'd post a pic but it looks like total crap lol. I had no solder so I used tape. Anyway, it was my first attemp at a build. Just glad it works

mattpelt30 don't put any pictures up, they just want to clone it, or send the pictures to the Chinese so they can do the hard work....oh! And welcome to the planet, well done.
