Hi apes.

I've just got a Mephisto V2 Clone and I'm running it on a Vapor Flask DNA 40 with Ni200.

Can anyone give me some flavour related hints please? I've got it set up as a dual coil with muji wicks and it's at .19 ohms. (10 wraps .25mm Ni200 each coil).

I'm getting shed loads of vapour but very little flavour. The coils are in line/slightly above the air holes.

Also, the air holes are actually like car intake vents. They're fookin huge! So I'm getting a really really airy draw.

Any tips? (Ps know the coils aren't brilliantly neat!!)

Close up the airflow a little at a time until you're getting flavour.

Have you tried it with a load of the air intake closed off? Air dilutes flavour.

Also.. Those coils are shocking.. Sorry but they are. You either want every wrap touching the next wrap or none touching at all. You don't want wraps over lapping otherwise it causes problems.

So for now try closing a load of the air off and see how it is.

I know the ni200 wire is a pain in the arse to wrap with but they need to be a little more uniform otherwise you'll get hot spots and possibly shorts. People seem to have a lot of success with spacing the wraps when using this wire too.

Maybe consider building single coils until you master it :)

Cheers Chegs & StuPot. I've tried with the airflow closed and it's still getting in somewhere! I've realised why I'm struggling so much with the coils... I've ordered .20mm. It's finer than my bloody hair. I'm going to order some thicker. I've had much better joy with my new KF 4, after twisting 2 .20mm together with a drill. More to follow on that one! Will rebuild the Mephisto at the weekend. Hopefully I'll have some thicker wire by then too :)

It's so springy and annoying compared to kanthal!!

I've noticed on my Mephisto I get the best flavor and vapor production with thicker wire. 22g is what I usually use on that build.
