I still think that we should make a stand and march on parliament...............well protest if we could get all the vapers together they would have to listen wouldnt they (probably not but would get the point across) to the knobs in charge and the wider unwise to what ecigs are public.

If every vaper in the eu put just £2 towards legal fight im sure that would fund it and whilst in argument surely that cant pass laws on the subject

The thing that worries me is that with more fuel for the fire with this MHRA "proposal" and the EU (TPD decision in September this year ( I think that's correct? if not please correct me), we might all be up shit creek a lot sooner than 2016!

This is my concern. Regardless of what happens with the mhra propsal Brussels' decision will be the one to fear as there is no petitioning with the eu. Whilst I dont want to take this laying down, something along this line was inevitable, the loss of excise revenue, potential pharmaceutical profits, tobacco company revenue and lack of control by any governing body meant something was on the cards.

Im now venturing into home mixing to combat this, 250ml of nic base (75%) will keep me going for a year and I have a huge cold and dark storage area so will begin stock piling this month.

I really feel for the likes of grant, mido, chefs vapour and other mixers who will be put out of business, reducing the pool of innovation and choice we currently have down to hanseng and dekang type guff.

Maybe there's still a way for the smaller juicemeisters to keep us happy?

As long as we can still source nic base (legally or otherwise) then the mixers could just sell us premixed flavouring recipes to add to fixed amounts... sort of chuck this bottle of premixed flavourings into 30mls of juice and let it steep for a week. ;)

So if it becomes medicinal we all go to the Docs tell them we want to give up smoking and get a prescription and what ever price it goes upto we only pay the prescription price, even more loading on the NHS,good plan, they really think of everything

Just don't expect to get Grant's Vanilla Custard, Redwood Blend, Green Cow etc on prescription... the health nazis don't like flavourings.

With respect, I for one don't think this is a good idea.

I think the industry is more than capable of regulating itself, I think I have a good handle on which vendors take a responsible approach to the products they sell and most importantly, I'm capable of making my own risk assessments and making judgements regarding my vaping without some bunch of corrupt zealots enforcing regulations.

It might feel like a less sensible step if it cuts into your profit margins or if big pharma flood the market with their own licensed products... just sayin.

I take your point, I really do. But bear in mind that as ecigs become more and more popular, more unscrupulous people will set themselves up as vendors. Jumping on the band wagon so to speak. The current vendors I know are responsible however it's the same with any new "thing" - the bigger it gets the more people see a chance to make a fast buck and the quality and safety goes to hell.
Having said that, there's no doubt that prices will sky rocket after 2016.

Damned if you do.....

I like this idea alot. I know mount baker vapor sell their own concentrates and I could see these guys doing something similar, after all if its not got nic in it then its not a "medicine"
