Hi Apes
I keep breaking the plastic part of my Rose3 tank; plastic threads ..... not great!
They do supply a stainless steel alternative, but it has no window, so, I'm putting one in[emoji6][emoji16]

So I have managed to cut the window out and shaped a piece of a broken plastic tank to fit in.

So the advice I need is how best to glue it in? Obviously I need it to seal, be ejuice proof and of course safe for me[emoji848]

My thought is to use food grade silicone sealant?

Open to suggestions.

Cheers
Jon

I get a "you dont have permission" message when I try to view it.
But me, I'd get another tank to be honest. There's plenty of great options available.

I should have fixed the photo now, sorry about that, I blame Tapatalk!

I know there are plenty of tanks out there and i do use several, but I keep coming back to the Rose3, which I have been using for years!

Perhaps silicone for fish/aquariums ???

BUT doubt if it will work flawlessly once tank/juice starts to warm up if you start cooking juice

Haven't looked at pic coz on my fone and it's being an arse atm

Fish silicone might meet the specific but not if it gets too warm - I'd get an alternative or a thin wall clear tube inside than a window
Bit like Nautilus 2, clear complete glass then outer wall (metal) has cut out. This will reduce your tank capacity though so it is a wanky trade off

I keep seeing pratleys epoxy mentioned. They do some that's none toxic apparently but you'll have to do some research on how it could react with the many chemicals in the flavourings in eliquids, heat etc

I think it's this one I've seen a pal use but I wouldn't trust using anything like that in a tank but saying that I've used clones that could have had all sorts used in them [emoji23]

Please remember the sand the scratches out of the plastic before attaching it to the tank
Also well done love it mate

As a qualified engineer(many years since lapsed) i was always of the opinion that all problems such as this could be solved with either gaffer tape or epoxy and as gaffer tape would be wholly inappropriate in this instance epoxy it is

I would have botched it with some bubble gum and rubber bands.

Great job in cutting out the hole.
If using epoxy, test it on a scrap piece of plastic tank first to ensure it won't turn cloudy or it will be a wasted effort.
