I’ve always wondered about how much airflow actually hits the side of the coil and not goes around it and up the chimney. I think rda’s must be the worst for that.

the dynamics of air flow is much more complex than people think. the only place vapour can go is out of the tip, where you are sucking it through. it not like it can hang about and lurk in a wee corner of the chamber if the hole is not right under the coil.

Not sure. Bottom airflow for mtl tanks is quite important. Not so much with the more cloudy vaping as you moving more air.
My Kayfuns have bottom airflow. I’m sure they know what they doing.

i’m not so sure it is. FeVs and bishops are very popular. origens, old drippers, many genesis type atties.
