Vinegar, ammonia or boiled eggs. There's a few ways to force a patina. You cover the area with tape that you don't wanna patina.

what do i do with the vinegar soak it or just brush it on or what?
then do i wash it
and what kinda laquer do i use to seal it?

Cover the threads (I used cling film then tape)
Run a piece of wire or string through the tube
Suspend the mod in a Tupperware box
Add vinegar or whatever you're gonna use
Put the lid on the box and wait!
