New Sxk BB Revision - Are You Reinterested?

Hey y’all! Been meaning to post this for a while. A chance to actually talk about a Billet Box Even if it is only a clone

The dna60 BB Revision is available for (only?) $139, and it’s not a bad deal imo. In addition to the mod, you get a Dotaio adapter and a 510 adapter for building. That alone should be valued at over $20 retail, and the mod body is changed. Basically, there are three new holes There’s the air inlet from the Bantam v3, and two cut-outs for the battery. So you pay a bit more for a bit less It does weigh somewhat less than the BB v4 from Sxk.

Let’s hope that their quality control at the factory is better than that of the marketing department…

I like the weight reduction, but I'm getting the impression from the pic of the black mod that the battery will be visible through what looks to be a large cut-out down the side of the mod. personally I'd rather put up with the extra 5 grams or so of weight and not have the battery visible.

The adapters could be useful I suppose - except for the 510 as I see how anybody would buy a BB with the intention or running regular 510 fitment tanks on it, but I suppose somebody somewhere was dropped on their head as a child.

Wish they'd put one of their replacement positive contacts in it instead of that 510 option.

But it's academic really - if you can see the battery I'm out..

Why the feck would they do that? It’s okay to save weight, but I agree with @Crispycritters , that’s taking it a bit too far…

At least you can use cheap batteries…there’s plenty of venting

As a self-diagnosed BB fanboy, I can only say WTF
It’s no longer a clone of the Billet Box, it’s just another BB sized ‘boro mod - to sit with the dozens of similarly sized/configured devices out there
If it has anything going for it, I’d confine that to the DotAIO support.
Assuming SXK drop their “regular” R4, the OG BB is now even more…. OG
SXK are obviously feeling the pinch from the competition.

Any user with only that could use it for dry firing a new rba coil. A DNA user could use it for setting the mods internal resistance if they know what they're doing.

But the reality is people who buy BBs are hobbyists and already own more mods than they know what to do with - and setting a resistance on a BB board is only going to be as efficient as the occasionally temperamental positive contact that relies on pressure and how much condensation is present at the time.

I've got one on order. I dislike the battery trend, but at least it is still encased and it's a window. I always wanted the rba visible from both sides on the BB so that's why I went for it
