Hi all,

I have been gaping for about 6 months.

Initially with a cheap Chinese brand "fake fag" then the "Skycig"

Moved up a level and bought the starter kit from Vaporised.co.uk: http://vaporized.co.uk/shop/kits/bronze-starter-kit/

i now have 2 batteries and 3 tanks:

Batteries:
Vaporised branded battery from the starter kit
VISION Spinner variable voltage battery

Tanks:
Kanger Protank 3
Mini Vivi Nova
Kanger EVOD

I use a range of fruit flavours: Blueberry, Strawberry, Peach, Blood Orange and Apple. Either 11mg or 18mg Dekang.
All from here: http://vaporized.co.uk/product-category/e-juice/dekang/

My questions:

1.
I often get a burnt / metalic taste and have tried everything to fix it, Hence the multiple tanks and batteries etc.
I change the coil/wick about once every 2 weeks but doesn't seem to fix anything! I also clean with warm water once a week!
I cleaned the batteries also with alcohol wipes!
As i said i have read through multiple forums and watch loads of videos suggesting dry burning etc but can't seem to fix it :(
Please help!

2.
The Kanger Protank 3 appears to be leaking!
I get a very wet draw from it and the battery connection always has a "puddle" in it.
This happens with my other tanks but nowhere near as bad.
Whats annoying is: The tank worked perfectly for a week and was the best by a mile!
Please help.

Everything bought from http://vaporized.co.uk/ as its a "local" supplier. Any advice on alternatives?

Many thanks,

Ctof,

Welcome to the world of vaping.
Can I ask what voltage you have the spinner set at? When I started vaping some time ago I usually set whatever I was using at the lowest voltage and ended up with a pretty tasteless vape. So I would crank the voltage and end up with a burnt taste.

Not suggesting you take this route but I now use rebuildable atomisers on a variable wattage device and get decent flavour and no burnt taste (unless I crank the wattage above 10 or 11 watts when I still get a burnt taste) .

Usually between 3.8 and 4.3 inclusive.

Depends how desperate I am :)

I found with protank it's luck of the draw with the coils. Some of them were fine didn't matter how much juice was in them where as others it didn't matter whether it was full or nearly empty. I got fed up with it and bought a kayfun. Never had a problem since until I moved on to mech mods
