Afternoon apes

The heatvape invader mini I won from our friends at GearBest arrived today and I've been playing with some 0.4 mm (aka 26 AWG) Ni200 wire but try as I might I can't get the resistance high enough. 18 wraps of a 3 mm mandrel and still no joy.

I'm guessing the answer is thinner wire.

Does anyone have any builds in mind before I go wire shopping?

Think go thinner, Mines like 32 or something. Tubbyengineer is best person for this info I think.

It was suggested to me that 8 wraps around a 3mm bit of 29 awg would be best. Not had a chance to test it yet, still waiting for the ipv4 to arrive

Mine was sent on the 13th,got tracking on the 15th. I've not checked that yet though

I honestly can't remember. Too low for the the invader though.

Didn't think the wire purchase through, I did it about half 2 in the morning when I woke up for some unknown reason.

It should work at about 12 wraps, I'm using 0.4mm Tempered NI200 from Rob stealthvape in a couple of builds and it works just fine, give me a few minutes to have a check which ones and I'll get a pic or two with some proper details...

Very much appreciated Tubbyengineer - have I missed a step in making the coil? Do I need to do anything other than wrap it and wick it with Ni200?

As with most people, I've watched a ton of YouTube videos on the subject but am just a drawing a blank at the moment.
