Not really getting on with the vaping

When I started vaping I started with a C4 and was about to give in, I then discovered other tanks, some gives more satisfaction than others when it comes to vape and flavour. I must have tried close to 40+ flavours now and only a fraction works out for me and are some that I continue to get.
 
BigAl you can get even stronger Nic juices, and ones that taste like tobacco (although to me I think they're revolting). Like some people have said though it can take time to make the complete switch. Cutting a few ciggys out is better than none. I just straight switched from fags to vaping and I was lucky enough to enjoy vaping, but I did hit a rough spot at 10-13 days in and thx to the support of the wonderful people here I got through it. I experimented (and still am) with flavours, and find strong fruity flavours more satisfying. My current favourite are a blueberry/blackcurrent one and true cherry. Hope you get into it more and finally come off the stinkies, but don't beat yourself up over it hun. Good luck and keep us posted xxx
 
The hardest part for me was finding the right strength of liquid(35yrs of 100+ grams per week of Golden Virginia,no filter)I tried various flavours but avoided tobacco flavours as the couple I tried were revolting before opting for fruit flavours mainly.I now can get through upwards of 10-15 ml per day but regardless of how much liquid I use,they are way better healthwise than ciggys.If I find something to do to occupy my brain enough,I hardly used to smoke & also now,rarely vape thus I drop usage of liquids to under 5 ml.I was initially intending to lower my smoking using vaping but once I'd got the nicotine level sorted out,I smoked my tobacco until I'd none left,& next morning started vaping and haven't touched a ciggy since.Nobody will criticize you if you need to smoke along with your vaping,but you should find that vaping will reduce your smoking and even if it takes you years to finally switch completely or you continue smoking+vaping(lots here do)forever,you are at least prepared to try to kick the cigarettes.

I agree with you that's it better to vape and smoke, then just to smoke full time. At least then you're smoking less than half the amount that you were smoking before ( or even less) and giving your lungs a little rest and some time to clear out all the TAR!!
 
Too much free time ( for me) can be a real killer if you're you're trying to drop the fags. Good to try and keep busy as much as you can preferably 15 hours a day.

I am happy to report that this sounds all too familiar. I had the same problems, so I hope this helps.
Regarding the lack of satisfaction from the experience, it was recommended to me to try cartos. Get a carto tank and some pre-cut cartos, and some regular cartos for flavour testing. The thick warm vapour off those is something often unappreciated by the vaping community.

Trying to find the same taste as your fags is impossible, so stick to flavours you wouldn't normally get from tobacco.

Get a variable wattage device, to customise your experience. Everyone has their favourite setting, and some juices need that perfect set point.

Don't expect juice to be instantly at its best. Look up "steeping".

Last but not least, enjoy yourself. You've made the leap, and when you've got the juice you like, delivered how you like, you'll be giggling like a school girl. You'll will choose your light-sabre over the coffin nails.
 
As for problems, i'm just not really enjoying any of the tastes compared to the dreaded cigs. Though I've not tried very many flavours, I've gone for tastes I enjoy normally, and out of the liquids I've tried, the banana and menthol have been my two favourites, but still don't seem to be giving me any real satisfaction.

Everyone's Different When it comes to the Switch, I've Never Missed the Fags from Day one and I get the Same satisfaction after Meals when I Vape!!! I also Smoked for Thirty Eight Years and can Honestly say looking back I can never remember actually enjoying the taste of a Cig!!! It might just not be for you but I'd stick with it if you can for your own Helth if nothing else!!!:hugs:
 
I was very similar to you for a while,Before I quit I was on about the same amount of baccy only amber leaf. The best crave killer I've found is hangsen cigar 24mg
 
Thanks for all the great advice once again. I don't intend giving up on the vaping, and I have cut my stinky use by at least 25% so it's been a good move so far, and I am coughing less which is a bonus. Going by others stories, it's just going to take me a little longer than I thought it would, but at least i'm on the right track. :drool:
