Not really getting on with the vaping

That's the spirit mate,You can do it! Have you got a local shop that will let you try juices? Might be worth trying a few just to see if any do satisfy your cravings

i think the hard part is actually finding a vape you like. with cigs sure you had different brands but esentially they all tasted pretty much the same in comparison to e liquid flavours. even if you tried 30 tobacco e liquids you would find quite a huge difference in terms of taste compared to cigs, what with strengths, throat hit, flavours, nic content pg/vg mix. throw in all the other flavours too and it does become a big trial and error. in the 7 month or so ive been vaping ive tried maybe 100 flavours which is barely touching the surface really and out of those probably less than a dozen i would go back to and vape daily. when i first started fruit flavours, menthols and the like had no appeal but now ive gone entirely off tobacco flavours and just cant stand even the smell of them and now im a huge fan of fruit menthols.

a great place to try is smoke rainbow. they do 1ml sample packs containing lots and lots of 1ml bottles to try. so you can sample 20 or 30 different ones without breaking the bank until you hit 3 or 4 you really like then get a few larger bottles from there

just wish more places would offer these kind of sample packs to encourage new vapers who might get put off after a few tries.

It took me ages to find my perfect vape. Now I wouldn't go near a cigarette. Vaping is too damn tasty. Its all about getting the right gear and the right juice for you.

Personally I have a Vamo v5 with a Protank 2 and 11mg juice with cotton wicks.

I started on 18mg but that was too harsh. Still after 25 years of smoking this is the best thing ever for me

Yet another incoming suggestion...

RY6. If it's too tobaccoey, add some Capella caramel to taste.

It can have a very similar hit and taste to cigarettes... useful for those needAcig moments when blueberrybananamint doesn't cut it.

That said, we're all different :D

Well done mate, 25% of cigs not smoked is a big achievement and worth a pat on the back :goodjob:

The site that Phantom Diablo mentioned looks good, they have a good range of tasters selections to try there, so for not to much money you could have 15-20 samples to try.

Hang in there mate and good luck.

Well as of bedtime tonight, I've decided i'm going cold turkey on the stinkies, and going to try relying solely on vaping. Mainly for my own health but also financial reasons. I really need to do this, and now is the right time for me.

BigAl best of luck, I found that I could only quit when I decided that it was what I wanted and that it was the right time. I'm sure you'll do fine :)

hey BigAl you've done so well so far.
[h=1][/h]don't think of it going cold turkey though, think of it as your start of liberation

I am pretty concerned though because if you're not getting what you need out of your e-ciggy then something must be wrong as your stuff should be delivering you lots of nice nicotine and a decent throaty sensation and something to fiddle with instead of those truly b. awful analog things.

make sure your batteries are fully charged up for the day
make sure you got a nice clean and dry cart to fill up each day which will avoid gurgles and slurpies which stop the vapour flowing like it should
beg and borrow "tries" from any other folk who are vaping, i don't know a single vaper who won't share their favourite with you unless they are down to the last few drops lol
i know i am just a girl and know nothing about mods but a freshly charged egoT (or egoY like I have now) with a nice clean, full CE5 is a very reassuring and pleasant start to the day:-)
the sample site listed above is amazing. i wish i had known about it before i bought all the yucky ones at full price (but then my Mum told me about kissing frogs before I found a prince so I knew a bit about what to expect in terms of rejects ha ha)
at least now when i kiss a frog they dont pull away cos I smell of old fags

i consider myself so very very lucky now.

i spoke to my old friend Bill in ASDA'S the other day and he is a life-long non smoker. i'd been up to his for a few barbecues and other things and always had to go outside to light up a cigarette out of respect to him.

he said to me something which made me stop in my tracks and realise just how lucky i am now - he said can you remember when you used to set fire to a cigarette and take back that smoke into your lungs.... well

i did several double takes on the way back home and felt really sick at the thought of ever having done it. how ****dy stupid was i !!??

i truly hope in a few months you will have found your favourite liquid/s and kit and that you can look back on the stinking old days and keep them in the bad past, not the good.

good luck with the start of your liberation BigAl

Me, 40 a day for 30 years. Stopped smoking 3000 quid back. It took about 2 months for me to get over still wanting a cig. That and finding some nice shiny gear to use and finally hitting a flavour I really liked. Now I chainsmoke vanilla, or toffee apple, or vanilla and toffee apple, or toffee apple and strawberries, or any number of odd mixes.
Passwordfor me, the biggest changes really came when I had 2 or 3 atties on the go. It gave me options to change flavour without having to junk what was in an atty or piss about when it was nearly empty. Once I found a couple of atties that worked or me, and a couple of staple flavour favourites, cigs became less of an issue.

vaping IS a different exleriemce than cigs, but if you are lucky, the day will come where you feel you only wantba cig because you used to NEED a cig. Then the vanilla and blueberry drifts over your head and someone near you says 'that smells nice, what is it' and suddenly you are reminded how much money you haven't given to the taxman.

btw. Tomorrow I am going to look atmy free car. The one the taxman is giving me. Or more accurately, the one with the money the taxman would have taken if I still smoked.

Nothing wrong with being a girl, they're my favourite people :worship: As for kissing frogs, was I one of them ? Thanks for the support, but can you tell me the difference between the Ego T and the Ego Y please?
