Hi as a new mixer well three months using Darkstar bottle shots iv'e been wondering about there 30ml one shots, for some reason i keep my empty 250ml bottles all washed out and dryed, my question is if i put a 30ml one shot in a 250ml bottle how many nic shots and how much base mix would i have to put in for a 3mg mix, in mls please, sorry if this is a dumb question but still learning mixing.

Regards Steve.

your concentrate wants to be anything from 10% to 20%, then you need vg and maybe pg and a lot of bottles of nic, do sme reading in the mixology

Thanks for the reply i've searched mixology but don't fully understand, when i do a bottle shot i add 4 nic shots for 3mgs then top up with base mix half inch from the top good shake job done, very happy with results, but there is more than 30ml in a bottle shot, i was wondering how you mix your Darkstar one shots.

Put your values into this calculator. Use the one shot as a flavour at whatever percentage you use it at.

So just do the same. Work out how much of the one shot you need poor that in and then do the same as with your bottle shots.

All the different names different venders call things are confusing. I've never tried the darkstar one shots, but they look like they should be used like normal concentrates, so yeah, use the calc @Horrand mentioned and use whatever the bottle says as the percentage of flavour you want. it says use 15%-25% so personally I'd go with about 20%, but it depends how strong you like your mixes.

@Steve.
to break it down from another noob mixer who has not used the darkstar shots yet.

bottle shots are large bottles usually 250ml/500ml which has enough of the ready mixed concentrate to make a full bottle after adding vg/pg/nic no tools required.

one shots on the other hand are slightly different.
they are full of concentrate and to make a 250ml bottle you will need the steam or any other calculator like mentioned above.
personally this is where a cheap set of scales come in handy or syringes.

using the calculator you put in the size of mix you want to make. then where it says flavour you add the % of the concentrate you have as it should say on the bottle like 15-25% lets use 20%
next box the nic and change to if its 100VG or 50/50 etc next box the vg/pg ratio you want to end up with and your final nic strength
so for example we are using 100VG 1.8mg nic shots and you want a final strength of 3mg
then on the right it will show numbers in grams.

to make 250ml you will not have enough concentrate as in picture you need 50ml if using a syringe or 52.43 grams

so to work out how much you can make you need to lower your 250ml size and watch the number next to flavour on the right. when it hits 30ml bottle shot size your size mix will be worked out.

so to use the 30ml shot you can only make 143ml final mix as you have used up all of your concentrate with scales 29.99ml or syringes 28.60ml

Make sure you measure the actual amount Darkstar send you. I recently ordered a couple of bottle shots and they were short.
A 30% 250ml bottle shot should contain 75ml of flavouring, but mine only contained 50ml.
