Popping coils - argh!

Never tried it so you can lol, what about after making your coil cut the wire a little longer, fold over and twist back to the wick before connecting to + post, just an idea, nearly tried it last night on atty but last attempt worked.............So far

The little cromit inside of what you put on the top of the coil head in a Vivi seems to help, still faff with it every now and then but will try the microcoil soon

To decrease the resistance of the lead wire to the +ve?

Nice idea, it'd probably work with wire but I can see ribbon being a bit of a bugger.

Took me a while of looking at the metal bit that traps the +ve and -ve wires in the base before I went back and re-read what you wrote a lot slower.

Brilliant idea, I had one Vivi left I hadn't given away. :D

I still can't make an attractive looking mesh wick and end up, I would be proud to have one that looked like yours Mawsley but hey last night couldn't be bothered so I just wicked up and forced the wick into a position to obtain no hot spots but great vape....this any pretty but it's vaping like a train so who's to say what it should look like

I try an explain it in a basic way but that sometimes means reading it again in a simple way of thinking to understand lol

What about using the drill bit method, you wrap a coil round a drill bit a pulse the coil until the hot spots are sorted then just slide the mesh through the coil
