the SXK Boros are great tanks. Though I’d suggest buying original seals. At least for the glass door.
I avoid Acrylic Boros completely. Some juices have a nasty effect on it. And buy Derlin versions. Nowt wrong with Ultem it just tends to be much higher price than Derlin and even some aluminium Boros.

I’ve a clone dope, and it’s dope. Indistinguishable from an authentic. Good first buy, I’d say.
I’ve a Mobb 2 clone. It a very good RBA. I can’t compare it with an Authentic. But others rate it highly.

im thinking @John R @TartanSpartan or @Rob may be able to help with the snai/shell.

the Jenna is probably worth giving a miss. Again @John R had one.
From all the input here, I’ll be dropping the Jenna, my wallet thanks you!

I am wondering if I should pick up an aluminum tank and one of the Boro covers with a rubber bung, thus limiting spillage and wear on the gasket. Is the aluminum less reactive than the delrin (Pom) or the ultem (pei) tanks? Is there any other reason to buy/not buy an aluminum tank?I’m thinking this setup could last a while. Function comes first, then form, for me that is.

I have the vapesnail and it's really good, I personally don't use the chimney reducer because It spoils the flavour for me a little. The way it works is it slots into a gap that is left for it on the topcap/chimney section so I would think if the vapeshell doesn't have one it won't fit.

My mobb2 is authentic but I had the sxk one before that and it did come with a 1mm pin
The reason I’m so interested in the Vapeshell/Vapesnail is one of the Norwegian vape shops has an authentic Vapeshell still available at around £70. Is it worth it for me as a mtl vaper? Now I know that the mtl airflow pins from my Dotshell will work (thanks @Rob ), I was also wondering if the chimney reducer will work. But even if it doesn’t, I’m considering picking the Vapeshell up.

I must admit to a bit of “Mobb-envy”, but I cannot manage to find a Sxk clone in China with the 1mm pin, just the no-names. And the Darth Vader version clone is coming soon :D

Oh dear..... I am going to sound as though I am a TOTAL Atmizoo FanBoy (Which I would cheerfully admit to if asked.) But.... For ME.... and I now others will have their own views, I loved the Atmizoo Snail Tank. :) There was ONE slight drawback in as much as I found a Mobb Mini to be a VERY Tight fit when using it, but apart from the afore mentioned and a Xeta, everything else I used fitted perfectly. I would also say that following the recommendation of a very wise Greek Gentleman, changing the Seals to the alternatives in the Spares Package cured any "potential" weeping that some have reported. :_

Now, my experience with Boros that have more Metal involved, has been Hit and Miss. This could be down to my vaping style of course? Tending to chain vape perhaps? But I found that there was a marked increase with condensation build up with any Brand of Boro that had more metal in its construction. Maybe it was just me? But certainly something that put me off. :)

Again.. For Us, Carol and Myself, The Chimney reducer included with The VapeShell had a very desirable effect and we always had ours installed. :)

I have the Vapesnail and the Vapeshell (clone) no difference in them except the snail comes in a tank and has the chimney reducer. Due to availability, I'd go for the snail, but I wouldn't be chasing the shell expecting some otherworldy difference.

So it goes without saying that you think the Vapeshell (the older version without the tank and chimney reducer) would be a sound investment, being an Atmizoo lover…

I always prefer to buy an authentic rba/rta if it’s within my budget, but I usually try the clone first. No chance of finding a Vapeshell or Vapesnail clone now (I think), and an original Vapesnail, if I could find one, would set me back closer to £200 after customs etc.

Your point about the metal tanks is well taken, and never occurred to me (though it probably should have). It is a joy to not be putting items on my wish list :18: This is really helping me avoid the mistakes I’ve made in the past, buying gear that was a waste of money. Trying to keep it simple…just what I need, and of course backups. And then there’s the backups for the backups, and the aesthetics, and the new innovations. OMG Help!

An otherworldly experience would be fantastic, but that would probably require other substances. As I mentioned, I have the chance to purchase an authentic Vapeshell here in Norway for £70 (iow without doubling the cost because of shipping and customs). If the chamber reducer from the snail works on it, all the better, and I can order the reducer from China.

As with the Alien (which is fast approaching delivery), I’d prefer to buy quality if I can afford it. But no one can afford to waste money either… Since I’ve ordered a Pioneer Insider, the Alien and the Vapeshell would complete my trifecta of rbas, and make all of them originals!

I had ordered a Sxk Dope as per my earlier thread that was supposed to be in stock, but shareAvape then informed me that Sxk had stopped manufacturing them. Had to cancel my order. Thus the Vapeshell… Hoping to maybe go clone free with my BB (hey, that rhymes:D)!

Personally? We both used multiple VapeShells in our many BBs...... UNTIL the VapeSnail arrived. The Shell is a beautiful Flavour Machine and I can honestly say that I have only ever known ONE person who didn't get on with it :) BUT.... Once the Parkinson's/Essential Tremor hit, the VapeSnail just made my life so much easier, bearing in mind that at that period in my life I was the principle Builder in the family. :D
I still love the Shell, yes, the Snail has taken over in most people's eyes, or the many derivatives of the OG design that are now everywhere, but if we are splitting hairs, my money is on the Shell. There was just "something" about it that I personally preferred from the performance point of view. others whom are FAR more up to date with Bridge developments than myself with undoubtedly tell you that X and Y are both better and cheaper? I can only offer both Carol's and my own experiences. :)

And they say romance is dead… Your poetic nostalgia for the Vapeshell has just about sold me, now I just have to bite the bullet and make a decision! :17:

Hang On though? You have an EVL Alien coming?? :)
I would think that perhaps you should hold off until you have used and familiarised yourself with that Beastie. ;) It is a VERY different thing in comparison and I would suggest it potentially "could" change your perceptions of what you'd be looking for in a Bridge moving forwards? :)
