RBA vs pre-built - Please explain

I'm leaning towards the Aromamizer v3 with honeycomb postless and mesh decks so I can see which I like the best.
I'm in the UK and a quick search shows plenty of shops with them in stock. I won't be buying for a couple of days yet so still time to keep looking and researching.

Thanks all for your help so far, the info has been a great help!

Being in the UK if you want something that holds more than 2ml of juice you may want to consider buying from Sourcemore. Some tanks might include an expansion glass but Sourcemore is normally also cheaper than buying in the UK. I've bought from them around a dozen times and my orders have always arrived safely within about 12 days. They are definitely the best of the Chinese suppliers for vape kit. You'll probably find cotton and coils on there a lot cheaper as well.

Nice one thanks. My Zeus tank came with a label on the box "Only to be sold in USA" and 2ml glass was nowhere to be seen lol. I had to order a separate bubble glass with my Nautilus 3. The existing one was plastic with a fused plastic tube inside it to limit it to 2ml. I was like "wtf is this shit".
This 2ml bollocks is a load of crap. They just make people spend more money on a bubble glass or have to top up their juice after 10 hits.

I will check out that site though thanks

EDIT: They have a lot of sold out stuff, including the Aromamizer V3.

If you search for vape coil tool you should find one. I made one out of a brush handle, drill bit and screw. But then as mentioned before I'm a tight git! Think they are usually around a tenner, some do all sizes, some you have to buy the specific size you want.

Looks like I'm a bit out of date. I bought most of the hardware I need from them about 2 to 4 years back but certainly there seems to be a lot of stuff out of stock. Their prices look like they've been hiked a lot as well.

If you can wait a couple of weeks or so Ali express is well worth checking out for cheap vape tool kits and some clone tanks .

Am I best off buying pre-made coils or making them myself?
I can't for the life of me find it now, but I saw a video of a guy that had a tool for making coils. He put the wire on a device and it had something that pushed the wire around a rod. All he had to do was push this thing and it grabbed the wire underneath a screw like protrusion and it pushed the wire around and made the perfect coil. It wasn't just a rod that allowed him to wrap the cable around. It had part that he pushed. Does anyone know what I'm talking about?

Also, I'm told that Kanthal coils are the best for flavour above all else. Is this right?

Those coil wrapping tools you're thinking of are great for making round-wire micro coils. but practically useless for anything else.

You absolutely will NOT get the best out of a high power DL tank by using vanilla round-wire in it. Round wire will give great results in a small, low powered MTL tank - but it will be total shit in the aromamiser.

Personally i would recommend starting with something like a fused clapton (dual 26 core wrapped in either 36 or 38 gauge (26x2/36 or 26x2/38) is generally my go too wire for DL singles, or a tri core fused clapton like triple 26 core if I'm likely to push the wattage over the 50 mark. Complex wires are available in small tubs of 10 coils or in 10 or 15 foot spools if you want to wind them yourself (you will need a coiling rod - graduated rods are available for a couple of quid, and winding complex wires is easy because of the flat profile (wrapping round-wire can be tricky so you will probably need a coil winding jig, but this isn't the case for complex wires - and if you tried to put them in a coil winder it would totally snag and screw up the outer wrap).

Kanthal is definitely the best for those that have a nickel allergy, but if you don't have an allergy I'd go for Ni80 or SS316L. Just personal preference here - I find Kanthal OK in MTL, but I'm not too keen on it in higher powered DL tanks as it can take time to ramp up because of the extra mass

These jigs work really well for complex wires.

And if you're a tight arse like me there's hardly any waste coz ye can cut the wire as short as ye like.

Another idea you could think about is how I do my coils. I got myself some reels of Ni80 Framed Staple wire and started winding single 4mm I.D. coils and then spreading the wraps out like an accordion to allow more juice to surround the wraps. I'm really loving the results because the vapour production is excellent and seems to carry more juice in the vapour making it very moist and full of flavour. There's also virtually no chance of ever getting a dry hit. I also get through less juice than the mesh tanks I tried.
