RBA vs pre-built - Please explain

That is the main reason I prefer MTL! My DTL tank fogs up the house, the car, I can't see the telly, my wife gets annoyed! I barely use it now, only if I'm outside and fancy a blast. I don't know how you guys put up with it :18:

Yes I want to try framed staples.
The dual coils I did are spaced. I put them on the coil rod and pulled them apart so there's a small gap in between the wraps. I also think it improves the flavour.
I'm looking for a kit I can get for making my own coils that includes everything I need. A proper coil jig that allows me to wind coils without having to manually wrap them around something.

@Crispycritters is right. You only need something simple to wind your coils. I bought one of these which was only cheap, can't remember where from. Most of what's in the box is useless but the holders that you insert the coil rods into have a small hole to thread your wire through which anchors it so you can wind it by hand without the coil moving so all you need is that bit along with the size of coil rod you want to make.

Don't try to use the other piece which is meant to push the wire. Just wind it by hand.

What is that called exactly? The one where you stick the wire through?
I just redid my 2 coil deck. I really enjoy building it lol. Pulled quite large gaps through and used Cotton bacon to pick my own size of cotton and it's the nicest smoothest vape I ever had. No spitting, no popping. Just perfect. I popping problem before I think was from using that cheap square shaped crap that came with the multi coil pack.

Ok so I need to order myself one of those devices in your picture and some wire. Is that all I need? I already have a graduated coiling rod and snippers, ceramic tweezers etc etc.

EDIT: Nevermind I found one on Amazon

You should see my bedroom at night. There's like a thick wall of fog that almost blocks off vision to my TV hahaaha.
When I'm playing a game I have to wait for the thick vapour to dissipate before I can see my keyboard again lol I think it's hilarious.

Before you buy one I'd have a look around at what types of complex wire reels are out there as most places seem to have stopped selling them or drastically reduced their range to just one or two types. I always bought my wire reels from Vape Club but this is the only decent one they still have.

Coilology Multi-Strands Fused Clapton Wire 10ft Reel

This coil tool kit on Amazon is the closest I could find.

Coil Master Coiling Tool Kit

Your little coil winder tool is good enough for thinner plain wire but for thicker complex wire being able to anchor the wire makes it much easier to wind your coils tightly enough.

All you need is the red handle piece in the photo with the 'Magic Wire CW' writing on it and the right size rod for the size of coil you want to make.

Worth mentioning I guess? The Coil Master Coiling Set up can cope with Coils up to 4.5 id for those that require that sort of size. :)

Perfect thank you! I was looking for one that can go up to like 4mm. I want to put a 4mm in my single core deck.

I've also noticed there's a lack of complex wires available. Like, I was looking for quad-core clapton or heavy gauge alien and couldn't find any. I found ones claiming to be alien but in the photo it didn't look like alien.
Can you confirm, alien wire has a pattern like in this picture doesn't it? Do all aliens look like that, and that is essentially what defines an alien wire? The kind of sssss shape?

Holy crap on a stick! LOOK AT THIS COIL!! Binary coil!? I never heard of such a thing. I must try this!
Would it even fit in the holes on my deck? Wonder if I could squash the ends of the wire to make them fit if not.

EDIT: If you're UK, this ebay seller seems to have quite a few different types of wires available. I've put the link through tinyurl as it was really long: https://tinyurl.com/bdduk8js

Your last question indicates that you need to understand more about low res coils before you tackle that beast.

The more elements in your coil the more battery power and juice you waste getting the coil hot enough to atomise your juice, it also takes longer to cool and in my opinion contributes to gunking.

Makes sense. I suppose that coil might be more suitable for a true RDA.
