I’m looking for some advice from people who know more than I do about resistance.
Inspired by @simong ’s review of the aio eco mini stick kit, I have been messing about with low power sub ohm builds. The idea is to try and run a tank at < 2v.
At the moment I’ve got a ~ 0.65Ω build in an sxk doggystyled. I’m running this at 5w, 1.8v. It’s actually working pretty well. The vapour is cooler than it would be with higher power and resistance, but the cloud production is rather decent considering.
Here’s my problem: I want to go lower than 0.65Ω, but using the 30awg ss316L wire I think this is going to be difficult. I don’t want to go thicker with the wire, as right now the ramp up time is ok for me, but with thicker wire I think this will become a problem. Can anybody suggest other ways? I’ve thought about twisting wire, wrapping a dual wire coil, using different type of wire (but I don’t know of anything with lower resistance than the 316L).
I also have 34awg ss 316 (no L). I don’t know enough about this stuff to know whether a dual 34awg build, or twisted, would work better with this? Will it still increase ramp up time? Would a dual build with the 30awg increase or reduce the ramp up? And, if I make a twisted or dual build, is this basically going to have the same consequences as thicker wire anyway? (ie increased mass = slower ramp up)?
Any opinions would be much appreciated!
