Can anyone advise, I tried recoiling and rewicking a ce5 clearo, the wire was a wee bit loose, ndoes it need to be tight? Also do I clip the wire that protrudes out the bottom to avoid shorting? My first attempt caused by battery light to continually flash so I must've done something wrong. Any advice greatly appreciated...

I haven't rewicked a ce5 clearo, but preferably the coils should be snug around the wick, and preferably the wires going to the connectors are good to be taut, sometimes it is handy to make the coils neat and evenly spaced too, using something like a wooden toothpick, head of a smell scredriver, needle, whatever, and it is defo a good thing to clip excess wire.

Handy also to have some way to test the clearo's ohm resistance, which you can do with a lavatube or a vamo, or even a tankometer, but if you don't have any of those, don't loose sleep, a good amount of coil wraps is four, play with it, trail and error, and just because it won't work initially, don't chuck it away immediately, as I said, fiddle a little, and then chuck it if no joy is forthcoming ;)
