Ribbon v Round Wire?

Hi Guys and Gals, I have tried searching on this topic, but couldn't find anything that answered my question in a simple way, or in a way that a Silly Old Fool could understand.

What are the differences between using ordinary round wire, or Ribbon Wire? I usually build the Sophias so that they come out at somewhere around 1.6 or 1.8, but with the Rose V2s I seem to getting in a mess when it comes to consistently wrapping at the same ohmage. I am using some Ready Made Coils in the Sophias at the moment and I must have cocked up the order and got Ultra Low Res Ribbon builds instead of my usual Low Res ones. I really like what the Ribbon is giving me, mainly because it Dry Burns wonderfully and when you are a HoL Hound such as I, you soon become used to a Dry Burn being a very regular part of the routine.
So I wondered whether to get some Ribbon from stealthvape but wasn't sure what I would need in terms of size, thickness, ohmage etc, so any help would be really gratefully received.

Check out Vape Mesh Co, they list the resistance per meter for all their wires so you could compare it to round and see what it comes out at

6/7 wrap at 3mm diameter will be in the ballpark for you with small spaced coils of 1mm by 0.08mm
And mesh is great with HOL

Interesting. I have yet to try Gennies having always been somewhat wary because of their apparent leaking problems. That said, if I were to acquire one and just use it at home ......... keeping the Rose/Kato setup for when out and about and the Sophias because I loves em, a Gennie may well be something I should be looking at closer? I know a few of my chums who also adore HoL products keep saying that this is the way to really appreciate the flavours? So, what would you suggest as a good starting point with a Gennie then? Sorry to be asking so many questions, but my new found return to better health has got me making things again.

Depends on the type of draw you like really
Jgm22 and sat22 have tightish draw
Origen v2 has all manner of airflow options as does the kraken
Personally recommend the origen v2
And single wicked mine is pretty good at keeping the liquid in
Stealthvape also sells 300 and 400 mesh
