What's new

senator in ireland proposes to government to ban flavours

Ireland has different laws like age/regulations to own a firearm etc.....

Vaping has slipped completely through the net, even the age to purchase
but is being reviewed.....

Problem is that with this review proposal there could very well be ultra tight regulation
which as we fear will lead to a chain reaction in other countries following each other

Maybe, but I would imagine other evidence would need to be added also........ the Sun could do a poll tomorrow and get the same results.
Then your flash Headline " UK to ban flavours"

do you want me to change the title

do you think all this is not effecting me ive lost 5 orders in the usa in the last 2 weeks one of which was for billet box doors imagine sit here with me and throw £1800 on a fire because thats how much ive just burnt from the states making mods and doors, cabinets is 50% of my lively hood it puts food on my table im glad everyone can sit around and say it wont come here to the uk because it has

I'm gonna need @Lee to share his recipes with me. Cant do without flavours if it gets hysterical here as well

All Im saying mate.... is as yet there is no flavour ban in Ireland, in the future who knows, possibly.

I'm going to have play devil's advocate here, just a little...

Firstly, for you (and others who trade with the states) it's a big problem - I understand that and I'll not deny it. It's a shitty situation. None of the following is intended to belittle the impact on you.

I've even made it bold to show I'm not dismissing it.

But for everyone else, that side of it is almost irrelevant.

If America bans flavours, or even vaping altogether, then a few more people will be affected by not being able to get their hands on a few products - hardware and juice. But that group of people are a small percentage of the vaping population.

Going forward, there may be a bit of an increase in prices of import hardware (although more likely is they'll just ramp down production), some products will cease to be produced and a bit/lot less innovation going on from the far East.

We'll probably lose a few of the higher end more local producers who relied on the US for the bulk of their income.

As long as our government doesn't decide to follow suit, it's unlikely to have much more impact than that.

Oh look .. the independent again ... Im going to assume the irish counterpart is no better than the UK Shit Rag

Assume no longer, read the article...

And as for the comments from people who are supposed to be healthcare professionals

I disagree for numerous reasons

once a bandwagon starts to move, many more jump on it than try to slow or stop it

maybe we could be pissing ourselves a bit but with good reason

Once the bandwagon starts moving, it needs to be brought under control asap
hoping it is unlikely to pick up speed & momentum is imho perhaps a little foolish

That's why I typed out the final paragraph.

If our government maintain it's current stance then it won't be a huge deal.

If they're swayed by hysteria and "won't somebody think of the children" then it's nearing end game.

Thing is, I mentioned myself a couple of weeks ago about the hysteria moving in here and what effect it might have - and got roundly ignored.
