Hi All,

Wanted to try squonking for a while but was waiting for a nice regulated mod at a reasonable price. Looks like I’m going to go for the IJOY Capo which is out now - can anybody recommend the cheapest place to buy these online?

Also, main question is I’ve tried a few rda’s but nothing comes close to Smok Skyhook for airflow, I was wondering if it’s possible to convert this to a bottom feeder at all? I’ve seen it mentioned on other forums but I’m not confident about which pin I need to buy and if any other modifications are required. The 510 connector in rda mode is 11mm long, M2 thread with a 3mm shoulder, any ideas where I could buy a hollow version of that without drilling it myself?

Thanks!

Probably not buddy. I've converted most rda's but this would be a colossal pain. It's possible that the pin from something like the mesusa could fit but you would spend a fortune trying and to be honest there's far better squonk rda' s or rdta' s available. Ironically the medusa come a to mind. Most wotofo rda' s come squonk ready now and something like the lush has more airflow than the skyhook as do many others.
Be careful with the capo squonk too. Many shops are saying it's now in stock but not many actually have any yet.
Have a read on here and you will find loads of recommendations for rda' s.

Thanks for the advice! I've got my eye on the Azathoth rda instead, looks like tons of airflow... Bought too many recommended rda's and tanks with crap airflow and don't want to make the same mistake again:)

I am with him on the skyhook , once it's in dripper mode it's hard to beat . I have goons , dotmods , vandys ...and not yet found one I prefer to the skyhook .
1: love the airflow , 2 holes each side open..perfect .
2 : juice well capacity ..split the tails and you get 4 wells and nears as much capacity as a 2ml tank , I have to drip about as often as I fill my moonshot tank .
3; piss easy build and rewick .
4; flavour is as good as any .
5; screw off top , so much less sticky fingers and mess than a pull of one .

Don't doubt it but unless you can get your hands on a quality bench drill and a few quality drill bits your stuck. There's a few rdta' s around with squonk pins but unless a skyhook owner has played around and got lucky with alternatives. As I say buggered.

Did a little looking about and from what i can see the 510 pin on the skyhook comes in two parts as you can switch from RDA to RDTA mode.
With that there is no squonk pin on the market that will fit im afraid.

I watched Tony B's review on the Capo, because I was very interested in it, but it looks a bit meh. Even though it's regulated, he said you still have to build as though it's a mech, otherwise you don't get proper power output, if that makes sense? So I'm not so sure now.

That sounds right, I’ve seen a couple of reviews mentioning power output dropping as the battery runs down, so maybe not truly regulated in the sense of maintaining a constant wattage or there is just some issue with the chip? As long as it’s safer than a mech mod I’m happy!
What do you mean by ‘build as though it’s a mech’ though? :)
There’s not a massive amount of choice for regulated squonk mods though, so it still seems the best option to me...
